  1. Is that with other digs in the salon to?....i have between 16-18 dogs in a day between two of us.....hence why the take so long.... Butif its with other dogs in then fair play....that takes some going.. Atb Miss T x Ahh, that was an important omission! Our shop was only open til lunchtime and we did up to 10 per morn (between 2 of us), depending on the breeds... I understand how you must work, we did similar (eg. whilst one was drying, another being clipped or stripped etc), we didn't half put pressure on ourselves, I'm sure you do... it's bloody madness isn't it? good £££ th
  2. Flippin' heck, when I started grooming it only took me 3/4 hour to clip a terrier and I reckon I could do one in 20 minutes now (then half hour on top if it needed bathing). I used to regularly strip 3 heavily coated Borders and it took me 2 and a half hours max for the lot. I could do an Airedale in 2 hours. (3 if you include a bath) The end result is totally different as it's a completely different procedure. Clipping leaves top coat and undercoat, stripping removes the top coat. I do agree with you on one point though that clipping ruins a coat, although more so on coloureds dogs
  3. which ones winkhound? Which ever one you want him to be!

not when i`m judging no one gets any favours from me none of my mates would show under me anyway and likewise saves a load of hassle .. seen it happen more than once You're a rare breed!
  7. Ahh, that's where you went wrong see, you should have said it was going towards your doctorate in philosophy, that would have been totally believable and winkhound would have been well impressed.

Makes no difference what your dog looks like. It's all down to how well you know the judge, also helps if you gave him a lift to the show, he owes you a favour, used his dog, bought a pup off him... you see where I'm going here...
  9. I think you'll find it's more of a moat than a pond!
  10. Hi, The dam is Bonniemore Summer of Simba, Pete Avery's hard going brood bitch. She goes back to Cressett, Parkbeck , Rytex Rod etc.....and she destroys cover....thats why he bought her as he believed her to be the hardest going in heavy cover that he had seen. If Jay is that close then he is a very good dog to use. Kenmilquin Flyer will be in Cheltenham when I use him but Will Clulee's place is in Worcetershire. I am having him brought down to Edgegrove to have the mating carried out by Jeremy Organ and will mate the bitch as often as we can, hence the reason for the dog being broug
  11. This is probably the funniest thread I have ever read. You, Washing Machine? I believe by far the best make is your girlfriends nan, she's been washing and ironing your smalls for the past four years why stop now?!!
  12. I think the real issue here is that Wink knows how the poor little dog feels. He's never been the same (or walked straight) since he had to sell himself to pay for a car!
  13. This is a dog that I will be using on my bitch too, a very nice dog with nice bloodlines too, a natural marker and great retriever, hard going in cover with drive , pace and style. Whitehope Liquorice is another very nice dog and one I would consider using but I have Kenmilquin Flyer on my doorstep so can get plenty of matings......don't get me wrong it is not just a distance thing as he was my first choice of stud...it's just a great bonus he is just up the road from me. A mate has a dog out of Deepfleet Jay and he is a very nice dog......Jay impressed me at the championships and I w
  14. Oh I see, tell you what, I'll swap your terrier for my little ones go-kart. You might think that's a rum deal, but it is pink with a barbie pic on the side. Horn works too. You might also fit a single terrier box on the back.
  15. PM Wink Hound he tells me he's looking for a decent black dog to bring on. He's gullible enough to pay serious money for her!
  16. My husband is looking for a bit of advice regarding B/W springer stud dogs. Have been looking into using Deepfleet Jay. Has anybody used him over their bitch or seen anything by him? Any other suggestions for a B/W stud are welcome. He does realise he's cutting down his options specifically wanting to use a B/W dog. He's a gamekeeper and keeps mumbling about maybe trialling a pup out of the bitch. She is by Belvden Brewers Grave (Laganmill MaestroX Maylands My Jolly Tune of Belvden) and her dam goes back to Wenmouth Breac and Cressett Cristo.
  17. I read this book at the weekend. Very smart looking and well published. However without wanting to sound rude anybody who reads books of other genre's will find the writing style a little immature. I finished the book thinking that Mr Bluck is probably his own biggest fan. I appreciate why some would enjoy this book but personally I would rather spend the money on a night out with my mates! 18. Wasn't there a problem just recently with you insulting people who shot foxes, I presume this is you having a go at driven shooting now is it? OTC it is a long time since Chukar have been used so you would be very lucky to see a "half cross" and I doubt it was ever as high as 90%.
  19. She was showing your Sealyham at Crufts No I got waylaid handling for someone else, I have no shame in what I do, it commands good money and a lot of respect... I don't care what you all think, here's one of me with another of my 'breeds'...
  20. Winky has got loads but that was the only one I could get off him. Think he is planning on launching his new lines in a special edition of the Countrymans Weekly in the summer, will be some serious photos in that. This will all lead up to the release of his book in time for Christmas.
  21. As we all know there are a lot of arguments between Plummer owners themselves and non Plummer owners as to their earth work abilities. Winkhound has bravely taken it upon himself to finish these arguments once and for all. This is top secret and he won't be amused about it getting out so early but I was so excited when I saw the result of his breeding program I just had to put the picture up! As you will see he has put some extra "foreign" blood in but this has improved their work 100%. This is the latest litter, for obvious reasons I can't put pictures up of the parents. .............
  22. Whats a messer? Go on admit it you fancy JPTfellterrier
