  7. Yes it will no doubt cause some sort of disruption ?
  8. Looks like you have a good regime with her George, nice one. I'm looking for a Gos at the minute.
  9. Yes I know what you mean I couldn't live with a noisy one
  10. Thats ideal then, she doesn't look like an imprint if that makes sense. Some of them are horrible, mantling, grubby chests, and broken tail and primary tips. I have had some horrible imprints.
  11. Can I ask is she silent at home or vocal?
  12. Nice one she looks like a powerhouse. Is she parent reared? It's always a bit of a gamble taking on an older bird, I'm glad she worked out for you.
  13. George how did you get on with the Buteoides female?
  14. Nice looking bird George she's thrown very much to the Red Tail, whats her flying weight?
  15. my question is should I let the bird have the space free or keep it tethered? When the bird is fresh out of the breeding chamber and at flying weight you will need to keep it tethered, once it is conditioned you should be able to free loft it.
  16. If you learn the trade with a redtail it will put you in good stead to fly just about anything. Whereas if you learn it with a Harris it will only condition you to fly a Harris. You would get a lot more knowledge about weight control and handling with a redtail. It will teach you patience and manners among many other attributes.
  17. Friday before the storm and a cracking cut.
  18. Yes you never quite know how people will react, its all part of it though.
  19. Yes it could have easily been not such a pleasant outcome in many ways, I wasn't sure what to expect when I knocked on the door lol. Was just glad that he was such a decent bloke.
  20. Thats true but I really think this chap had a touch of dementia, really nice chap though.
  21. Exactly, I offered to clean it up be he was fine with it, he was cracked up laughing. Dear old fella!
  22. Bit of a caper today slipped on some gulls that were a bit too far. She didn't get on terms with them, had a bit of a fly about then nailed one in an old blokes back garden in a housing estate. Luckily for me he had lost his marbles and was fine with it,lol.
  23. Another slip on some gulls and picked her up on a crow. At least she had some exercise and a reward.
  24. It's always good when she gets a result, lol. That it is, its always nice to mix it up and have a bit of variation!
