Finally got a hare with her, there aren't many around here, had a good flight on a crow this morning. Third slip on a hare today from a good solid point,result ?

Thanks I appreciate it. Yes some of the breeding information is variable as it's not an exact science, where hybrids are concerned.

Most of the hybrid/tribreds are infertile they are usually done by AI. But I know of natural pairings that have clicked,although fertility is usually low. Thank you ?

Thanks FD It's been difficult with the weather, had some sport with her on a few hares. She nailed a monster hare and I made schoolboy error, tried to grab its head in the excitement of it all and it bucked one last effort and made its escape, totally my fault!

Added another 6 to her tally today. She had a good workout in high winds, 3 from the dog and 3 from the ferrets. First 2.

Yes its certainly annoying as you start to get some fitness into them, then can't get them out properly.

Cheers George the weather has messed us up lately. She's had a few unlucky flights then got too wet. Looking forward to some drier days.

That's very kind of you, thank you! Go for it regarding the Gos you won't look back especially if you have plenty of feather to go at. I have had a few Redtails over the years very good birds once fit, you can learn a lot training Redtails as opposed to Harris's.

I too started with a buzzard as you say ideal introduction. Yes had several Harris's great birds in the right hands. I do like the redtails too.

A game little hawk by the sound of it. There's something primeval about sneaking about with hawk and dog trying to catch your meal that gets into you. It's hard to explain unless you have experienced it.

I didn't know that you used to keep them. It's hard to stay out of it once you've been involved, lol.
