As has been said he may not be able to put together £450 in one hit but doesn't mean he can't add the dog on his pet insurance for another 10 euros a month ... And if he can't and 3 years down the line the dog smashes itself up and the only option is to PTS then at least the dog had 3 more years of a happy life ........

Just because somebody can't afford £450 to get the dog to Ireland don't mean they can't provide for it ... He may well get free meat I do he may well have acres and acres of land to let the dog run around I do he may live and breath dogs and will give it the best home ever ... Just because somebody doesn't drive and hasn't got £450 laying around dont mean the dog will have a shit life ...........

I am not just talking about dogs moving cattle I am on about moving them on in general ... I have to do rabbiting all over the country and I often have to work in places where the farmer can't move the cattle .... If they become a problem they have to moved .......l

When I put up my post of Tilly's first day ferreting a fair few on here and other sites had negative posts to say about the dog moving the young bullocks away from us ..... Well a man was trampled to death by cows in Bradford upon Avon yesterday and another man has life threatening injurys ... So does it make sense to move them on when they are getting to close for comfort or take the risk that they will behave ............

Starve the dog for 24 to 36 hours then give it a pro biotic yogurt .... Boil up a load of chicken breast and rice ... wash the rice until all the starch has gone ... Feed the dog a handful Of the mix every few hours for the first day ... Increase the portion size over the next few days until he is on normal meal size then gradually re introduce his normal food ........

I take it you read this. You shouldn't always believe everything you read. It's not always true. No I know because I have nearly 40 years experience of ferreting and my job is a rabbit catcher so I need to make it my business to know all about the rabbit ... Maybe you should try reading a bit and perhaps you could learn something ........

A well known top tip for stopping squirrels stealing your bird food is to sprinkle curry powder or chilli over the seed as the birds can't taste it but the squirrel can ???????

eat the fooker :laugh: yes that is the preferred method as all the tips i was given to stop it failed miserably Untill a few weeks ago I would have suggested the pot as well. But, We tried filling some eggshells with Mustard, cayenne pepper and anything 'hot' from the kitchen cupboard. We instantly went up to 6 eggs the next day, then 3 days later 10 out of our 10 hens! Now we are consistantly getting 7 or 8 a day, so think we've 'cured' it! Wouldn't have believed it if I had been told about it, but it worked for us fair play but to be honest i was already fed up with it,
