Theres another similar program Yukon Men,they live a hunting fishing trapping type of existance but it all looks far to grim,given the chance i would rather live a Swamp People sort of existance,gator hunting and snapper turtle trapping,looks a lot more fun,byron tou must have a tale to tell about that,how did you end up with so little cash for so long a time? Yukon men is a great programme ... I hate the heat and sun so the snow and cold would suite me better .......

I am talking about having a cabin built near a good water source not just dumped in the wilds and having to build a bivvi ... If you were established I can't see you ever being bored there would just be to much to do on a daily basis .......

There are a lot of programmes on at the moment like life below zero ... the last Alaskans etc showing the hardships and rewards of living a susbsistence lifestyle ... Getting what you need from the land from trapping hunting foraging and growing your own food ... No electricity no phone no internet no tv .... Complete isolation either on your own or with your missus ... Personally I would Love this way of life and if my missus said lets do it I would be gone like a shot ... Whether in reality I could make it happen is another thing but I would have a bloody good go ... What's your thoughts fe

I reckon a work in progress just like mine Yep just finished the patio ... Got a bit of work left on the conservatory then it's get a digger in take 10 ton of earth out grade off lay some turf and stone circles around the fruit trees etc and hopefully that's me done for a while ......

Keep hold of it fella it's about time you moved out and had a place of your own ... A nice set of runs in the garden and bobs your uncle ... My boy has a couple of houses now and is looking to get another one come the Autumn ... He has to much work on as a builder in the summer .... Nearly finished the inside of my house just got the conservatory and garden to finish off now .... Well I say nearly finished her indoors now wants to put double French doors leading out onto the patio ... So more building work inside to do now .......
