We went out for some hawking over ferrets yestarday and what a day,first we set off after a few brekkie rolls at 9 and headed out to the farm 20 mins away,when we arived the farmer said he thinks myxi has come back ! Well it proved right the was myxi there,we managed to bag a few ( 9 ) in total 3 of which had the begining of the disease. The first bury we bolted 2 out of and a slip was on ! over the hedge and back to ground he went and no take,we went to the 2nd bury and i could see a bunny pop his head out but went back in ! so i knew he was going to come,after a few mins BANG OUT HE

Took amy out again on monday night just to stretch her wings and see what was about,she has switched on with the lamp now and her recall off the lamp is spot on,we had some long slips and she caught one but was near a bloody fence by the tim we got to her he had just managed to get thro,then after walking a very steep bank and getting to the top another slip was on and she took it in fine style PLEASED is an understatment

Ive heard ben long has been importing his in from china and not half has good,ive just ordered one from calvin crossman at ub falconry,be here next week not cheap but supposed to be one of the best about.

Hi Guys just wondering what types of set ups you use and what designs you have thinking of making a new set up this summer,currently my 2 are in a 2 tier hutch but put out every day in a pen about 4ft square...do you guys think this is adequate thanks.

The reason i think hes not big,strong etc to be an allrounder is because i have absoluttly tons of game to go at,ive put prob 20-30 plus phessies,god knows how many bunnies and hares up for him and yeh he has caught some and im happy with that only the phessies hes catching hes not got the knack to hold on long enough,hes caught 3 cock birds and he caught them in style,but has i run to him they just jump and hop arond and they get away,today for example he spotted one a good distance away and was on him he took him a good way then both rico and phessie crashed into bramble,by the time i got th

Well after 3 outings on the lamp and some catches but no binding on the lamp,last night we had one. It was about 30-40 yds off the fence and the slip was on,rico shot down the beam and the bunny went thro the fence and started to make his way home untill rico got afoot thro the fence and held on,bloody brilliant well pleased but i still think rico is still a bit small for an allrounder,but never mind thats another one notched up on his tally this year...

After my lamping trip wed me and my team was back out for some day work... Cracking days weather and some very good slips,rico accounted for one and had a brilliant flight on a hen phessie from a good 50-60 yds away she made ground and then hit into a gorse bank but rico stuck like glue,his fitness is getting better and better every week..

Well tried again last night had 11 slips on rabbitts rico caught 4 of them but didnt hold on long enough for me to get there,he was locked to a pig wire fence thinking he had one but NO....gutted isnt the word,in the day hes spot on he is spotting brilliantlly on the lamp and recalls a1 but just cant hold on long enough [bANNED TEXT] CAN I DO GUYS ?...im getting very pissed off indeed.

Well sat we went upto ross on wye,for some flying over the ferrets again,the wind was very strong and it was hard for rico to get onto anything tidy,the bunnies didnt want to bolt into the open and they just ran the bloody hedgaes again, Today i went to a new farm/estate near myself and i just thought id walk the boundries just to see the layout of the land and see where the rabbit holes where,the river that runs alongside looks good for fish,wide and fast in places and some small rapids ! il be flicking a spinner in there next season i know,well rico was following on tidy and then away he
