  1. Cheers guys some valid point that ive taken on board ..cant wait to get her,i know its comming to the end of the rabbiting season but im going to go out 3-4 times just to get a few (hopefully)
  2. it was hard enough getting this one mate,but i will try and get another one asap tho,it realy needs to be an albino or very light colourd its work along with my hawk.

Just picked up my new ferret today im going to house her in a standard (smallish)type till the weekend its prob about 2ft wide by 4ft long...ive been looking into the hutches in "willkinsons" and on line from amazon,ive also seen some pictures on FB of people keeping them in chicken type pens/runs they look the bees knees to be fair,im just a bit bewildered on what type and size has theres so many out there plus i have limeted space at the moment..

  5. Yet another nail in the coffin for terrier work...face it real terrier work is over..has been over many years and i doubt it will ever come back,its not a matter of " if you get caught" its when you get caught.. Another sad day for the working terriers....

The fu..worlds gone mad..got smack heads robbing around my area the police know who they are and nothing...there was a nonce working in the local school has a care taker and only just been found out and nothing.. and on the news today 3 yobs got away almost scot free after kicking a mans skull in ( he tried to stop them knocking bins over)...FFS leave the hunting folk alone go and catch some real scum bag criminals boils my fu..piss,if i win the lottery fu..the uk im out of here.

    Cheers will,i will drop him slightly just before next time i go out lamping with him, the moon is down this week comming but its going to be hard to run the lurchers due to ground frost so maybe il be lamping all week with the hawk...hes bound to take to it next time "fingers crossed"

    Well i took "rico"out for a nights lamping last night first time ! there was a good few about and i even got 2 squatters but he just didnt want to know... yes is weight was a tad high but he didnt even try to put a good flight on any i noticed that he was looking up at trees all the time(which got me worried) hes been doing ok in the day but last night was a total waste of time apart from me trying out my glow sticks and recalling him from a decent distance...next time im dropping him a good bit more than he hunts in the day even,sadly i took no pictures has i was a bit pissed off,the best of

Give the han wags a good work out over the last week,i lamped in them for 3 nights and hunted in them yestarday,not sure how many miles i covered but prob a fair bit,i wore them with a set of army issure gaiters on all occasions and il be honest brilliant they were,bone dry,warm,very comfy and easy to take on and off to get the trainers on to drive. I prob did around 10-15 miles and walked thro a good couple of streams and one big sodden bog ! i also had two digs on yestarday and they where realy good no stress on my ankles at all,they also brought me good luck 7 in 4 outings and thats pri

    hi will yes ive been getting my bird comming to me in the dark only a short distance tho,hes straight on the glove,i was looking to get out tonight but it looks highly unlikely now due to yet more bad weather ARRRrrrrr

    like you all know a good night for me with the lurchers is a windy one with a light bit of drizzle... what conditions would you wait for...and what about the moon,do you still fly them if its up or just like you were lamping with the lurchers..Thanks

Juat wonderd if any of you lamp you hawks,ive only ever lamped with lurchers but im going to give it a go and try and get a few more bunnies under my hawks belt...its just another option that i want to give a go has i see the more work i can put into my hawk the better he will become and il have a much better hunting companion ha.. ..so i would like to get some advice or tips ..Thanks guys
  16. How do you rate the "han wag"..i wore mine last night lamping ...very comfy,warm and easy to get on and off so so far so good...big test this weekend tho.

  19. Well after a bad few weeks of crap weather and many attempts at taking phessies with my harris i decided to get back on track with my intended quarry the humble "BUNNIE".. I took him out yestarday morning for an hour or so locally and we managed to knock one up out of some braken,luckily for the bunnie he made cover ! ...has my hawk was up in a tree and coulndt see it... The wife has been on my case with the xmas shopping so i decided to get out when i got home today so i thought just get him out for a little while where i was yestarday its only (2 min) from my house...i boxed clever

Ive got a dog had him at the end of last season when he was about 16mts old,hes doing ok,i use him mainly on fox(shot)....with hounds,and has taken in excess of 15 so far this season and a few bunnies also some other quarry with another older dog,he got a bit of brain about him which suits me has i want a bit of a thinker for what i do,he stands at 23tts,il get a pic up tomorrw..good old fashioned type CANT BEAT EM

We had the d3 kit a few years back now and not a bad kit its much more accurate than the b&f and a faster pick up time same principle has the b&f,and we had to get ours re calibrated for this season i had to send it to leic has they were the dealers for them brilliant service it took 2 weeks from start to finish and cost us £25...its BANG TIDY yet again...
