The idea of Mono Nets is appealing,, but a no no !! the makeup of these nets are far to ! let me explain SPRINGY! they do not flake down so well ( net riggers talk ),, plus there breaking strength leaves a lot to be desired... The nets that Fishy123 is on about are probably made up of 0.30mm Mono and are suitable for Sole/ Plaice... 0.30 Mono represents about 15lb breaking strength depending of its origin.. Personaly i have been toiling with the idea of Multi-Mono nets for the simple reason that they flake down better than Mono and proveiding that you can get a net of superior quality and stre
  20. Deffenetly NO!,, all natural made fibres have weak points in there make up and Flax is noted for weakness. Plus Flax made nets will deterioate sooner rather than later no matter how mutch you dry them after use!
  21. Proveiding that its true Hemp! the polished stuff absorbes less water than the unfinnished stuff.
  22. The polished stuff has the loose fibres buffed of whilst being made on the Braiding Machine,, Its basically a finished twine (polished)...
  23. Bridport Nets are probably the best out there if its Hemp that you favour, Pats the only one that sells true Hemp Twine.
