Molecatcher is the man for end pins ,, REGARDS.......
  6. 10z nets are 0.k. but be carefull,,, theres a lot of shit ones out there!! i.e. slip knotts and not stitched to the rings properly....
  7. I had a go with one a few years back at a major fishing exibition, a Norwegian Company had one of these Brother Gill Net sewing M/C on display, very impresive i must add, the M/C even had an alarm set up to let you nowe when a float was to be added to the headline, with one of these machines you can rig all types of nets in no time at all, any of the commercial gear suppliers here in the U.K. would probably supplie you with one, they aint cheap though but you may be able to pick up a second hand one through one of the gear suppliers.... REGARDS..
  8. The polyethelene twine that Molecatcher mentioned is actually 210/24... 8z nylon impregnated with Tar,, bloody horrible stuff for net makeing,, more suited for the rigging of Gill/Trammel nets...
  9. Traditional on end pins,, the new nets ive made for next season are lined with 2mm braided spun nylon lines, this type of lines are as near to the old cotton lines the netters of the past used but has the added advantage of being rot proof... How are you getting on regarding the netmaking Nik ? Regards..
  10. And theres the old sling bag method to carry them in as well, .

  13. Well said bigeddie...... The snarers are far and two beetween,,, if youve got it youve got it ,,, it aint an easy game,,, Ive snared a few bunnys / foxes in my day,,,, but take heed of the Guys who actually do it 24/7....I think I can snare 1 or 2 in my day ,, but we live and learn full..........................................
  14. IMO opinion there are a few pricks in this Topic,,,,,,,,,,
  15. Nice pixs Lads ,,,,but whats the benefit !! where i come from the above nets are classed as double peggers (poke nets ) ........... (two peggers ).......... call them what you like,, but imo a ring suffices,,, less hassel,,...
  16. Good to see a Trammel being rigged by a Guy who actually nowes a thing or two about nets and twines.

    joke

After great sex, my Thai girlfriend lies stroking my penis, I ask "Do you want more sex ? "NO" she replies, "IAM JUST ADMIREING YOUR COCK.... I REALLY MISS MINE"....
  19. This is turning into a good read,, haveing used both single/double stranded nets for many years (TRADDITIONAL) my personal choice of which kills better is the double stranded nets, not only do they hold the rabbits better but they handel great,, i even favour double stranded purse nets........ But lets not forget theres a lot of thought that has to be considered before setting about makeing or buying any net,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,WEIGHT,,,,,TWINE TYPE,,,,,,and lets not forget MESH SIZE ,,,, iam sure in the near future we will be reading about the new TRAMMELS with double stranded inner mesh,,,
  20. Bigger meshes and heavier,, you will find that commercialy produced trammels have there outer walls made from a heavier gage of twine,,, also to get the pocket effect the trammel net is supposed to have , the inner net will be somewhat deeper than a tradditional net,, again adding extra weight to the trammel....Sorry for calling you a BULLSHITTER MOLEY
  21. Off out shooting rabbits tonight Moley? i heard you are up there with the best when it comes to the shooting game...
  22. TRAMMEL NETS!!!!! fuk iam just a novice!!!! please teach me the wrights and wrongs regarding nets.... I DO NOT CLASS MYSELF PREMIERE LEAGE LIKE,,,, BUT I RECKON IAM UP THERE WITH BEST,,,,OH and by the way you lads that use the TRAMMEL set up,,keep us novices posted..........we live and learn each day......... KIND REGARDS.........
  23. BULL SHITE,,buy fuk Moley you talk total pish... stick to the moletrapping..JOKER.......nothing personal hear but stick to your trammel nets,,, Daylite Netter,,,wire in mate,, not my kettle of fish,,,,........... KIND REGARDS .........A TRUE NETTER.........
  24. TRAMMELS (tri mesh).... this type of net is highly regarded in the fishing industry!!!! have i used them!!! yip !! for fish mainly,,,, rabbits,,, well they have there use i suppose in a small scale,,, but for the seriouse night time netter who maybe setting up to say 250 yards per drop they are a no no,,,,, i like to move between sets as quickly as possible,,,, a Trammel net (useing the above yardage) would just hold me back...
