  3. Today seen myself and the Mate back on thr Dukes Ground for a days Shooting over the Ferrets, personally iam not a lover of Guns but the Mate likes a shot or two and the Land owners Son is also a keen shot so all in all everyone ends up happy.. I thought that i had a few good pictures but iam afraid that i had the camera set on the wrong setting Anyway heres a few that i managed to get.. 6. Peg distance!! Well i for one was always told to add a peg every 5 yrds!!! Believe me it makes sence !! I have tried the nets out at say 6 yrds!!! Its a no! no!! and dont be fooled with the crap that a quickset net will kill Rabbits at say a peg every 8 yrds! For night time netting!! whare large numbers are expected !! (wishfull thinking)!! You have got to make sure that the net (nets) are up for the job that they were intended to do!! Now for the odd Bunny !! Yip every so called 8 yards will do!! But for the night time netter!! !!! Its a 5 yrd job iam afraid! Do not be fooled with these co
  7. Today myself and the Mate venture out to hopefully bag a few Rabbits for the pot on a new bit of ground that needs done we ended up with 34 for our efforts!! a most enjoyable day as the Rabbits bolted really well and the old shovel was only used the once.
  8. Mmmmm!! Yip YOU cant beat a hand made net! and old Molecatcher sure is a dab hand at makeing them! The finished nets have there rewards,, they are great to handel and the finished net catches so mutch better than any machine made net! 9. Post no.7 has a picture of one of Molecatchers hand made nets CJ.
  10. As we had a steady wind blowing up this neck of the woods i thought that it would be best to make the most of it,, so a quick phone call to the Mate and of we both went,, my Friend would be working a basket system and i the good old Tradditional.... The first set seen us with 12 Rabbits meshed in 150 yards of netting.. We then moved on to a hedgerow for the next drop but the wind more or less dissapeared but we dropped the nets anyway and meshed a further 6. Not to bad, 18 Rabbits for our efforts plus the added bonus of getting the Mate out there and doing a bit.
