  1. Once they hit the net you sure know the difference between both Fish. The Mullet sure put up a fight.
  2. Last nite I decided to give one of the Nets a wetting, numbers was the last thing on my mind so i decided on a little 40 yard Gill Net of a 4 1/2" mesh made of Multi-Monofilament. I was well pleased with the end result. This is a shot of the first Mullet. . The first Sea Trout. . The end result was 13 Mullet,, 3 Trout and a few Flatties.. Thats me and the Mutts fed.
  3. Looks like you Lads had a most enjoyable Day out, well done and the weather conditions look great, nice capture of the Dog clearing the net. Regards.
  4. I dont think he is going, shame if he doesnt make it as he has really good 6z netting in his vast stock., plus the added bonus that is thrown in for free is that he walks the walk, unlike the other dealers who will be in attendance. Iam sure he will get in touch with you through the Forum. Regards.
  5. Use the plain one! as that Twine you are useing is a bit on the stretchy side.
  6. Use a smaller sized board whilst useing that Twine!! .
  7. Contact Molecatcher, he has it in stock.
  8. Makem Up rivers the best!! less weed and more Fish,, Iam like yourself in the old opinion mark,, Fek i remember years gone by when i was challenged about my going ons !! " the Duke owns this river His Forefathers fought for this right" Fek it!! I walked away owneing the Stretch! a bit bruised but not defeated!! . Legal netting for the Silver Fish aint the same as getting out there and taking your chance... I must say Makem that i thoroughly enjoy your posts regarding the Fish,, keep up the good work Mate and long live the Jap Silk Netting!!.. Regards..
  9. Have you had that net soaked yet maty j ?..
  10. Best to check with your local fisheries department as the laws differ around the country.. Up this neck as long as its white fish that you are after and the net is of a legal twine (single stranded mono is a no no up here) and that the nets not drifting plus at least a mile away from a river mouth then you can get away with a lot of things! Aint it a strange law " if your net happens to hold a Salmon /Sea trout dead or alive the law states that it has to be released or thrown back dead,,, somehow i have never took heed of this silly law ...
  11. You been on the local Brew? .

The Net Loft is the place to buy all your longnetting gear/Twines e.t.c.,, Martin only uses top quality Materials. Plus you have the added bonus whilst dealing with this Man that He actually knows what he's talking about.
  13. Its a shame when the freebies come to an end DUCKWING, years back I used to get nice Braid from the old Westclox Factory it also came in big spools. Regards.
  14. Ive spent the last week working on this little net. Its 60 yards of netting rigged onto 30 yards of line. Its a double Twined net of 4 1/2" full mesh by 14 mesh deep. The Twine that I used for the Selvedge Meshes is a 0.50mm Crossbraided Nylon Twine. And hear its with the Anchor Pins. This is a picture of a previouse net that i made a couple of weeks ago to the same specification, only difference being in the choice of Material for the Selvedge Meshes, but it will give you a look at the slack in these nets.
  15. Myself and the Wee Man had a few of at Carrick the other week.. Young netrigger on the Tiller!!! Not be long now till he's paying of the Gill Net Regards..
  16. Dont waste your money on the above! not enough netting to form the bagging and a bit shy on the Poles. Contact Molecatcher iam sure he will sort you out.
  17. Theres a vast range of Multi-Monos available Maty, From 3ply up to 12 ply in the standard range,, and theres also a finer range available. Not been doing to much with the White Fish department, busy at the Salmon though.
  18. Instead of a single Strand Monofilament Multi-Mono is a multi stranded net! The multi-mono nets flake down a lot better than single stranded nets but they do tend to pick up more weed than the single stranded Mono Nets.
  19. fekn messer you been talikng to netrigger.lol Hay LAHOSH i've a nice 100yarder that needs a soaking!! . That vessel of yours is perfect for a nights Fishing!! .. .
  20. No net marks . LAHOSH have you resigned from the Loch Lomond Netting Squad?
  21. Yes i agree to some extent, but lets face it you have a Bee in your Bonnet regarding the Southern Bunny Bashers!! Its imo a reasonable view about two old Boys who are to long in the tooth to change there ways!! And theres plenty more of them the length and breadth of the Country thats for sure!!. Regarding your comments on the Dog! at the end of the day what i viewed was a good Rabbiting Dog who done whats required!! ...
