  1. generally lighter pellets will work but if you have mildots on your scope and plenty of time to practise then holdover can be deadly and you can stick to the pellets you know work for you!
  2. good shooting mate! bsa lightning there methinks. 45 yrd shot with a springer very well done! i won't go past 40 yrds with my pcp! (yet )
  3. thanxs mate, where did you get it done and how much did it set you back?
  4. camo'd like the last pic (davy, its so cool): http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...howtopic=120292
  5. daystate mk4(there awesome, i tried on at the midlands game fair ) with a good IR 4-12x40 and sportsmatch mounts. also i want it with a camo'd stock (like davyt63's) and scrim. also a deben mini tracer or some other small lamp as i wouldent wasnt to unbalance the gun. davyt63, please put up a pic of your camo'd hw so they can see what i mean please...
  6. are they an argicultural pest? are they wipig otu native birds? are they very common and nice to eat? do they endanger publoic health and safety? if there is no yse to any of these ansewrs then i dont see a reason to shoot em!
  7. maybe they should make ntrigger locks compulsory?
  8. very good shooting! what hun is at the bottom? the top is a rapid or bsa something, middle is an ultra.
  9. here goes nothing (this was on a old permission i don't have any more): i came out to the paddocks at about 5.00pm and had a good look around. it was a warm evening and i was getting cosy in a gap in the hedge about 30 yrds away from where i expected rabits to pop out of the hedge for the evening. 20 minutes passed and nothing had shown itself yet and as i looked up the hedge i spotted a rabbits head peeking out of the hedge about 50 yrds away. it was way out of my range so i waited to see if it would come closer. slowly other rabbits began to appear munching there way through the grass an
  10. my freind has a .20 calibre and he's the 0wned 2 rifles before that i think were .22 and he says he likes the .20 more.
  11. phant, what is the tonys lingerie thing all about?
  12. hmm, i always have doubted that shoot more stuff to be honest! i think cammo is important but a lot of pepole go into hunting with top notch jack pyke or realtree and expect to be invisible to rabbits but the truth is rabbits go off movement rather than colour. if you sit completly motionless downwind of a rabbit it will not see you as a threat. but cammo does help if its many different colours as it will help break up your image so you don't look like a solid object.
  13. very good going mate! personally i think its a bit of a waste of good meat. i relish squirrel and even though there tricky to skin they are very tasty!
  14. i tested a ultra and i found it tricky to load, pull the bolt, click the clicky thing down and push in the cocking thing. not my cup of tea but other people say different
  15. good picture! maybe make a hide where the apple tree is?
  16. well my mate has a rapid and he loves it more that any of his s410s hes had before. but i love my s400 and theobens do look very good. hmm, its a tough desicion but i would say air arms for value and theoben for looks. but air arms rifles are pretty as well. i shall have to go into a state of deep meditation to decide this....
  17. good shooting mate! tx200hc has to be one of the prettiest springers there are! is the bonnie and clyde edition different because you put the pellet in the side bit not a top bit?
  18. thats odd, i took my s400 out in the rain for about 3 hours. i dried it down and removed the stock to give it a good wipe over with a rag and some bisley gun oil and i havent a speck on it.
  19. well i would like to have a 6-9 but the majority both on here and on PW foroums say 9-13 because of basically what you said. in an ideal world i'd have an 7.5-12" one because that sounds perfect. i think i'll go for the 9-13" to be on the safe side. cheers sean! Aaron.
  20. standin! thats the sort of groups i get kneeling!
