  1. bottle tops are perfect size for the killzones of many quarry.
  2. there both very accuraste consistent guns. the r10 is cheaper than the hw100. so i would go for the r10 because i really like the look of it.
  3. this is a great 70's rifle. they dont usually run at full power and average around 7 foot pounds. good springer, should fetch an ok price if its as new.
  4. my s400 is zeroed at 30 yrds and has half a mil dot hold under at 15 yrd and half a mildot hold over at 40 yrds. i shold think that if you maybe zeroed it at 15 yrds then you would only have hold over.
  5. sad to see you go. please do one thing for me though! go out on a days boar shooting and tell us what its like
  6. great shooting. all great shots, good that dylan is helping! wish my dad could learn how to hold a lamp properly. i only get out hunting once every 2 months because he finds it boring and hes very squeamish.
  7. good rifle ! but you'll need a dive tank or stirrup pump for that too
  8. most of the hw models above the number 70 are good. i wouldent go for a bsa lighting or bsa lighting xl though if you can, pick up a second hand AA s200 as these are great little guns, only problem being that you'll need to refill it with air from a dving bottle or stirrup every 60 shots. take a look at this, itsa bsa super10 and if you dont care about the marks and the split stock its perfect as these are great guns: http://www.guntrader.co.uk/GunsForSale/Detail.php?NewGunID=100128104427070&Num=7GunsTotal+870&Filter[NewType][]=Air%20Rifle&Filter[NewMechanism][]=Pre-charged%20Pne
  9. hi, this is one for the airgun geeks: is the webley venom sidewinder and evanix blizzard the same rifle? evanix is a korean brand (i think). the reason i ask is because (once i have enoguh dosh ) i am thinking of getting a webley sidewinder carbine. take a look at these pics: http://www.alansairrifles.co.uk/webley%20Sidewinder.jpg http://www.evanix.com/sub/s10_sl.html thanks Aaron
  10. Great shots! was the first cros hair the r10 and the second one the hw100?
  11. competeing with your own daughter, oh dear.....
  12. hi, i cant remeber whever i have done a post on this or not but here go's. i really like the look of beddy x greys but i have been told that collie x greys are much easier to train. i would be using the dog in the daytime and on the lamp and would only be after rabbits. as i have said before i really want a beddy x grey. hwo easy are beddy x greys to train and are they harder to train than collie x greys or is there very little differnece. ATB Aaron.
  13. if i had £650 to spend i would steer clear from then hw100 and go for a webley venom sidewinder or fx royale. never liked the hw100 but thats just me
  14. if i was you i wouldent go for the ultra. some people love em but i think there a bit too complicated to cock. maybe an air arms s400 carbine. s400k=£375 jsr 3-9x40=£30 med mounts=£10 divebottle=£130 total=£545 bearing in mind s/h equipment will eb much cheaper. my s400 with scope and mounts and gunbag was s/h nad and had ver little marks on it. i got it for £330!
  15. in the same price range as the bsa r10 (£650 pounds) you could get a air arms s410, weley venom sidewinder (oh i love these guns so much!), hw100 would be a little past your range at £700, flacon praire, bsa superten or a air arms s510. in my opinion, if i had your money i would go for the webley venom sidewinder carbine as these look great and have got good ratings too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIaQPMGJiHs   (the gun by the wsay, not steve price)
  16. i dont know how much your gunshop charges but mine sells air arms s200s for £350. for £400 i would be thinking air arms s400 (my gun and absaloutley brilliant) maybe some of the falcon range. look around and see what takes your intrest and what fits you. nearly all modern pcp's are accurate and powerful enough to take down rabbits. bear in mind that you will need a diving bottle,or if you have a gun with a very small cylinder) a stirrup pump which will cost you £100+ this is my s400 and in my opinion it would be a good gun for you. £375 plus the cost of a diving bottle and maybe £50 on a
  17. i always check my skirts of my pellets before putting them in the breach. if there only a little defromed i piut them in the 'plinking tin' and if there fine then those are the ones i'll use for hunting and zeroin.
  18. hi, one of the contribtutors of air gunner when doin a review of an air rifle said that he had had never used a magazine pcp which was more accurate than a single shot pcp. is this true? i know my s400 will get pellet on pellet no probs at 30yrds and thats single shot. thanks,AARON
  19. extra strong mints (never liked them) bottle caps, they go for ages, small lumps of wood, paper.
  20. nah, this guy dosent know what hes on about. i know my rifle wont go through a shed but it's powerful enough to knock over rabbits at 35yrds.
