I didn't put down that I had had a couple of speeding fines either, but after reading advice given on here told the FAO as soon as he came through the door for my inspection. He noted them down but said it would be no problem, so just tell him when he comes to see you. Tom

Don't walk over to her, she has to come to you. Get yourself some treats, I use cat biscuits because they are small, and offer her a couple when you call. She'll soon cotton on that coming to you makes sense. Tom.

Me too. For what it's worth you could tell my pup would be broken coated from 4 weeks. ATB Tom.

Mate, do yourself a favour and don't try it. Find a mate who's in the trade and give him a drink or something, because bricklaying is a skill that takes a good long time to learn. If you insist on trying yourself 3 parts sand to one cement will do you, but you will definately need a line, even more so if the base has a fall on it, and a decent level too. Oh, and soimething to cut the blocks too if they are concrete. All the best if you give it a go. Tom

I bet you'll get people falling over themselves to tell you mate

Bull terriers are a lot quicker than some people think. I watched a program the other night and a pit bull was clocked at 36 mph I think it was on a radar gun. They were trying to work out how fast some extinct animal would have been and the pit was the closest in shape and build to it.

It's hit my area badly too. I was wondering can it be transferred between areas by people walking and carrying droppings fom place to place on their feet? Or is it just passed on by fleas? Tom

I live in the West Mids Dave, PM me his address and I'll pop round if you like. It may wake him up a bit. Tom -
I read an article a while back and the writer was talking about how he always imagined that if Germany had invaded us there would have been little collaboration like there was in France, but after seeing local councils at work realised we would have been no different. There are always some who wtll abuse whatever power they are given, usually using it adainst the weakest members of society. Tom

the tiablo A9 on ebay and aspherical kit ,would still be cheaper than a deben set up..and yes you need batteries..and a charger. atb vin I paid about 55 quid for the torch, lens, 2 batteries and charger. I'm well pleased with mine, it will throw a really tight beam farther than I will ever need as I walk scrubland rather than big fields. I'm no expert but would guess it wouldn't suit everyone, but it will light rabbits up easily at 50 yards and I can fit torch and spare batteries in one pocket Tom.

He's looking well John, how tall is he now? Looks like he will have a fair old set of jaws on him. Tom

You don't need to be an expert to see the nail prints, so not a cat in my opinion either.

Thinking about trying this where abouts in the west midlands is he? It might be worth me traveling if its not to far unless someone can sujest a decent supplier in the leicestershire area? He's less than a mile from junction 9 of the M6. If you have a big freezer it may be worth the trip.

I started my dogs on dry, and changed to mince with occasional bones 3 or 4 months ago and they are seeming to thrive. I think the pet mince has bones ground in with it though, so maybe they are getting more bone than it would seem. I worried whether I was doing it right at the beginning, but it seems to me that as long as you vary things on a regular basis you will get the right balance in the long run. It won't matter that they miss one vitamin or another for a couple of days if you vary thiings, because somewhere along the line you'll give it them in another food. One thing I do give regu

I've got a small free standing freezer not a chest type, and can get 40lb-50lb in weight in it. I'd have no chance of getting 30 quids worth in mine Tom

I've only got a small freezer for the dogs so I can't buy big amounts, but yes, you're right about the prices they do seem to change. All I can say if I've found him easy going and not expensive so I'm happy to go there, 20 or 30 pence per lb is a darn sight cheaper than tinned or decent dry dog food. Tom

:thumbs-up: Couldm't agree more

I can recoommend Brian Betteridge to anyone in the Weat Mids area, I'm paying around 25p per lb for minced chicken, lamb, and beef, and 30odd pence for tripe. A tray of chicken thigh bones weighing around 40lb I would guess, with a lot of meat stilll on cost me 3 quid . Add a shredded cabbage , a few carrots, or anything other veg I can scrounge off the missus and it's a cheap way to feed the dogs. The only other thing I give is a cheap tin of pilchards in sunflower oil occasionally, and a handful of mixer. My two have improved 100% since starting using this stuff, the coat on my lurcher pup

small blisters of green puss on the belly?
tsteve9999 replied to bucknut's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
For the first few times I took my pup out he had a lot of the blisters you are talking about, in my opinion it was because his skin was still thin being a pup, and he had reactions to stuff like grasses, nettles etc, and especially the stagnant muddy pools they splash through As time has worn on they have got less and less, and now at 5 months he free of them. This has happened to every pup I've owned to some extent more or less, so I don't worry about it, just disinfect them and wait for the skin to toughen up. Tom. -
I do a lot of motorbiking and a few years ago the missus and I did my lifelong ambition, to ride across the Rocky Mountains on one. We got up near the Canadian border and my wife was getting more and more worried about running into Grizzly bears, and I was getting more and more excited at the idea. We stopped for something to eat at a cafe and overheard the waitress telling another couple how the day before 2 people were attacked in the area, and only escaped by jumping off a cliff, which left my wife refusing to take her helmet off even when we stopped to take photos. On leaving the cafe w

Here's his brother mate, these were taken 2 weeks ago. He suits me down to the ground and I couldn't be happier with him. He's thrown more to the Beddy side, his face and ears are almost silver now although it's hard to tell on the photos. Cheers, Tom.

how to get a puupy to "drop it"
tsteve9999 replied to tony d's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
Just have a treat ready in your hand when she comes back, she'll swap the slipper for it. Tom
