  4. well bred, very well handled kits available, working homes only

  9. nice photos! especially the last one pity about the top dog not making the grade like you say very good looking dog, just goes to show looks aren't everything!
  10. very sweet looking pup, we have a lurcher here who i reckon must have looked a similar stamp to that when she was a pup, what x is your pup?
  11. completly agree with bullmastiff six months old is very young to be starting a pup, apart from delicate ligaments needs to grow the pup have much pace and will still be clumsy in comparison to an older dog, the season isn't here yet and you've got the dog for a lifetime, don't rush it or the dog will be ruined before you know it but each to their own . .
  12. i'm so sorry to hear this! bloody people are ridiculus,, i would be fuming to come home after a walk with the mutts to see that some cheeky fecker had been in MY shed and stolen my poor dogs dinner, its one thing stealing money but your dogs food is something else! its like this disgrace of people stealing heating oil its just awful hope you find the c*** who done it !!!
  13. a nice looking bitch that, and i'm touched by the story behind her,, its horrible when these sorts of things in life happen i lost a good dog in similar way, i had to rehome it to a friend and after six months it would have been unfair to the dog to take it back so she's stayed where she is,, but at least this one got a good home and you sound genuine, i hope she settles in well and works well for you come season unusual to see a docked tail on a lurcher all the very best with her lurcher lass xx
  14. nice looking bitch, what breeding is she? all the best lurcher lass x x
  15. this made me chuckle lol i'd get the beddy x, useful for working and sound in kennel..
  16. i know for a fact the dam of these pups is not a bull lurcher its perhaps a staff mix, it was an accidental mating, and neither parents are worked.
  17. lovely photos there, and your clearly using a decent camera! mine winds me up it will either take really clear fantastic photos or absolute sh** ones!!! sadly i don't have any with my lurchers behind a rabbit due to them ALWAYS ALWAYS turning out blurry GRRRRRR heres some pics i'm sure you've seen before - sorry i'm certain other members will have better pics then mine,, so come on lets see them all the best lurcher lass xxx
  18. the hounds are looking well, so nice to see hound photos keep them coming xxx
  19. its interesting what you say about cat litter and shredded paper, do you not find the cat litter dusty on the ferrets coat? my ferrets routinly clean themselves in the shavings if they get egg round their mouths etc
  20. my lovely jill has had ten kits on the 15th july, they've been starting to crawl for approx a week now, and will dreg themselves into the run happily, the jill will lie in the sunshine with them and sometimes feed them in the run but i've also noticed that if she's feeding in the nest and a couple are in the run, she'l stay feeding while their calling her so i've made a nest box big enought for jill and all kits, that the jill can easily get in and out of but kits can only crawl around the box and stay warm and easier for the jill i'll pop photos up shortly xx
  21. i wouldn't say thats true at all, in regards to letting them out in the garden, i used to give mine a supervized run about, but you must keep all most on top of them and ensure they come back to you, they will love it and i used to enjoy watching them run about now i've moved in with my partner whose dogs aren't ferret safe so i can't but what i also used to do and may start up again is bring the ferrets out when i walk the dogs and give them a run about with my dogs, makes sure everyone gets on with everyone
  22. just built a nesting box for ferret kits, to keep all ten in the same place to help the jill feed

  23. wonderful feeling seeing the pup with the first one
  24. with this number of ferrets you want to be sure each is getting what it needs, personally at the moment i have four 10 -12 week old kits in one run and a jill with a three week old litter in another,, what i do is i take the jill out of her hutch, handle her and check her over etc, then pop her in ferret box with her meat (minced chicken/lamb, tinned fish, diced wood pigeon etc) clean out her run and sort water check on litter then pop in egg and milk mix if its the right day and pop mummy fezzer back in her hutch in peace,, this means i can supervize her intake and ensure she doesn't hide
