  1. Every dog should be taught the basics you have mentioned, start when young, brains are like sponges when young, they soak everything up. Any dog regardless of breed can be taught, just depends on how much effort you are willing to put in. I have a collie x and bull x's and the dogs with more bull in are the most obediant, the collie x is quite independent when she wants to be. I could stop my dogs chasing if i spot what they want to chase first but once they are off theres no stopping them!
  2. Thankyou everyone! I think an estate car it will be then, but a classy looking one And actually thinking about it i probably would get pulled over quite abit in a 4x4 specially at night so thanks for that tiny 7 Devon fox you have found me my perfect looking estate!! The subaru impreza is awesome! I just googled it
  3. I don't need to get 7 people in the vehicle, several as in 3-4 people tops! But most of the time it's 2 people plus dogs and camping gear usually. I have been toying with the idea of an estate car but they just don't appeal to me, i don't mind paying for fuel but i don't want to be constantly at the pump so to speak! Thanks so far
  4. Ok people, in general i have no clue about vehicles at the moment i have a peugeot 306 and i love him to bits but he's just too small, although extremely cheap to run!! I get about 70-100 miles to £10 on a good day although i can be heavy footed. I have looked into mitsubishi warriors l200, but they seem pricey and like they're juice. I need something that the dogs can fit in comfortably and also fit in several people at the same time, needs to be easy to drive and be relatively cheap to run as i can only have one vehicle for all my needs, so that's travelling to and fro work, taking the d

  16. I would love to live like it for a short while, just to experience the freedom. I wouldn't like to spend a cold wet winter in a caravan, i hate being cold and i can't stand going without a shower, 3 days would be my limit lol if i had a river near by i would be happy, im quite anti social when i want to be and enjoy my own company and the dogs but i would get bored and lonely after a while. Would like to do it sometime though. Good thread with some interesting replies.
  17. When my freezer is low on meat my lot get 'Wagg working dog food' it's less than £10 for a 17kg sack!! It doesn't effect their working ability, they're no different to when i paid £50 a bag for james wellbeloved or the like. It's not about money, it's about the effort or attitude to feeding a dog.
  18. Good pics there, that brindle bull/bull x is a smart looking dog
  19. It's a must for me, fences everywhere around here, if the dogs didn't jump they wouldn't catch half of what they do, i'll be damned if im lifting a 23-26'' tts dog over every obstacle i come across!
  20. I've been in full time work since i left school, then i worked part time for a few months then got layed off, im back in full time work currently but it's not looking good at the moment as theres going to be no need for my full time work wher i am right now so i will be without a job until i can find another, i hate having no work and i detest people who are on the dole just because they can't be bothered to work but in todays economic climate haveing a full time job is rare and i feel sorry for anyone who is out of work right now through no fault of there own.
