  1. Nice work, you got a little helper there too lol.
  2. Ouch! Sounds a good spot rabbit spot. You still did well tho, better luck to your mate next time!
  3. Cheers. All thanks to the home fettling advice I got from here!
  4. Real nice pictures would love to see a native snake on day.
  5. Cheers guys! This was with purple wasps.... (Edit iv lost the 30yard card I think this was bout 25 yards) Also saw my first white phesant, and had the usual chat with the farmer - he is a real charecter! Seeing him is all part of going there catching up with him is great. And as usual he left me eggs on my bonnet for when I return.
  6. After looking on here at other people's trips and pics I thaught it was about time to put a post on of a hunting trip. I grabbed the wonky imp (and my usual 20 bore) my plan was to mainly practice with the 99 and try to just use that. I headed up to my faveroute perms. Its 2 farms next door to each other in north yorkshire... Its a wonderful place and been coming here for very many years. Theres lots of wild life to see, today a couple of deer bolted in the woods and there's load of birds of prey. If you leave anything out to pick up on your way back it's often missing or a carpet
  7. Sad to hear, I hope you feel better soon! And the news from the doctor is good.
  8. If he ever needs any help with an airgun to I bet they would be happy to help. Its a good helpful welcoming community!
  9. Think I used too much bumslide on previous builds too, a light film works amazing. Yes I know the varn silicone spray it's good on guilotine beds too ;-)
  10. The grease in the druggy bag is the spring grease. The bumslide is like black paste in a small pot. Apparently if any bumslide makes it past the piston seal it doesn't burn either. Every gun I work on now I'll use bumslide. wonky donky drop in kits are amazing. In the wd kit the spring is cut to size, flattened and polished, guides fitted and even lubed! It was just a case of taking bit out the packet and putting it in the gun. The kit transformed the gun!
  11. Theres a vorteck seal in my 99. Everything mirror polished, with a perfectly sized vorteck seal and bumslide it is just phenomenal! There's zero resistance on the piston. You can drop the piston in, point the cyl at the ground and start/stop the piston dropping just by putting your finger over the transfer port. Its so easy to get the power up even through the imps tiny barrel. And it can only get better when bedding in. Let us know how you get on with your project si!
  12. The bumslide feels a bit "pastey" for the 1st few shots then somehow beds in and becomes ultra smooth. I love the stuff!
  13. he could of chosen a better name for it tom, sounds wrong on every level so is the buttoning on the back burner now?! atb si Yep Buttoning is on the back burner now. After polishing everything like a mirror and using bumslide it is just amazing. Better than it ever has been! Im scared to open it up again incase it's not the same again. Fps is within 3 and it hardly moves. The wonky donky kit transformed it. If you have had your barrel cut down the .177 kit brings the power to near the limit with no washers and shoots like nothing else! Well chuffed!
  14. Well apologies for another change of direction! I had it all polished ready to send off so I put it together with tbt bumslide and the wonky donky drop in kit and wow its just amazing! I highly reccomend the tbt bumslide and a mega polish! As my 85 had 100's more shots through iTS just getting better and better. Tbt bumslide is my choice of lube from now. I really couldent reccomend it ebough.
  15. What an absolute bueaty, shame iv no space. That's a webly bolt action price.
  16. It is. Some top helpful guys and information on here too.
  17. Can't beat enthusiasm in your hobby, there's a lot worse things people do. The airgun section on here are a good bunch!
  18. Funny you mention that the stuff I seen with the bluetits fighting on the grass between eachother metres away from me while fixing my vehicle I could have picked them up and they would have carried on I bet. So strange! I diddnt see them all winter. The joys of nature very suprising. All in a small urban front garden in a quiet culdesack
  19. Will do. I'm not really a tv watcher but it's using the tv so it's annoying the girlfriend when I'm lookin to see whats happening when she is watching the soaps! I'll keep the thread updated.
  20. The trigger is fiddly as you have to put the trigger in then the spring for the trigger then the housing for the main spring then get the pin through all of them at the same time as well as pushing down on the housing for the main spring lol The last one i did Tom nearly had me beat lol walked away from it three times until my son came in and it took 2 mins to sort after that with two of us lol atvbjimmy  Ha ha! Ace! It took two of us swearing at each other for half an hour to do that job. Its looking like your doing a top job there!
