  1. Morley, Leeds. May have been years ago but i think I may have Baugh your old style hw100 from there too in a thumbhole cs stock?
  2. Lol banned my brother was too. Kranks has a good second hand selection but if you buy a new 99 iv a 3-9x40 Mil dot hawke scope and mounts he can have and I'm not far away.
  3. If it was me I'd get him a hw99, great little guns.
  4. Nice going! Nice set up too. I find bagging a rat in my garden is very satisaying! I also get the odd one and sit our and wait for them with my hw100 too. Once my lurcher caught one and Braught it in for us still alive and then let it go, that was fun lol my wife went nuts ?
  5. That is very kind thank you! I really struggle for time with my job to get out as it is and only manage a couple of outings a month. But that's really nice offer if I get any extra time off I will pm you I would love that.
  6. I'm going to have a look for one of these in the gun rack next time I'm at the shop I'm very intrigued ?
  7. Here's the inside of mine so you can see the wiring and see if you can fit a reversing screen....
  8. OK great hope you get sorted. Wish you the best with it.
  9. Iv never seen a nitesite viper, is there a way of popping the front off to get to the screen and see what screen it is and how it's attached? I can take mine apart and put a pic on if it helps to see if it's a simelar kind of screen and what wires are there.
  10. ouch! My entire diy nv setup was a lot less than that and if I break my screen it's a tenner for a new one and 10 mins to attach. Is it possible to strip it and retrofit a reversing camera screen into it the same size? If not and you decide to build your own here's a pic of mine if it helps you think what to do. It's basic but works a treat. A website called printed vision sells good stuff too my mate has just got a top notch camera mount from them all 3d printed.
  11. Mine is shooting at 11.4 ft lbs with same spread/consistency as yours and is pellet on pellet with biz mags 's I think your results are looking good.
  12. Good choice. A miles better gun for similar money. He will love it.
  13. This is what I use.....Pump click here It is brilliant. Would soon pay for itself if he shoots regularly. I tried the co2 route. It was very dissapointing for hunting.
  14. What about him getting a smk pr900w pcp rifle. Only 180 brand new. I had a go with one and was shocked how good it was for the money. Light weight, multishot and wont take much filling. He could fill it with a cheap 40 quid Chinese stirrup pump and then also free air and no temperature problems.
  15. Same here I loved the .410 hushpower, but iv only owned the single .410 versions. I bet the pump .410 version would be great and would have done the same job today great and even quieter. I'll be hitting the rape soon and I'm sure my 20 will be great once I'm used to it. Iv been using an old black powder hammer gun for a while but the cartridges where extortionate but loud, smokey and fun!
  16. I will stick a topic or 2 up again soon, I really enjoy reading them on here so taught it was about time I put one up at least. Cheers!.
  17. Thanks again rimfireboy. This is now my only shotgun I like it that much.
  18. Cheers I will do. I love my hushpower, just need to find the quietest cartridge. Now I know what to get next time thank you!
  19. I went for a quick wander earlier on for an hour with the hushpower 20. Amazing autmn colours and a bright fresh day. I started using a slab of Ely vip 32g 5s I was hoping they where going to be slower/quieter with them been a heavy load but they where just the same as the 28s iv been using. Saw 2 roe deer bouncing through the woods and had a enjoyable wander. No sighn of any rabbits tho it's been very quiet with them here this year. Here's a couple of pics...
  20. Very nice to read and good choice of gun ?
  21. Iv not seen one yet, I found the standard 110 nice and compact so I bet they are a great little gun.
