    Canoes

Cheers mate, good advice there. Glad i asked as a few of you have said helmets, so better invest in some I think i'll stick to the canals rivers and lakes this summer, and only go to sea with my 16 year old nephew as he is more expendable. We have had a few pike and perch from it, but really want to try it at sea for some thing tastier.

    Canoes

So, read in another thread that some scottish lad does a bit of kayaking, and thought i would start a thread to get some advice. I have a 17ft open canoe that we mess about on the local rivers, but want to take my lads further afield, and maybe to sea in it. Would love to take them camping in it, but maybe not this year as the oldest 2 are 6 and the littleun is 3 What should i take ? they all have life jackets, but have seen yoga balls used as extra floatation devises, any other tips to keep us safer ?

  8. I just hope that we don't have a new ice age, as like game of thrones it will push all you sweaties down here.
  9. I'm with you on that, and also becoming a firm believer in the great spaghetti and meat ball monster. I do get the basics of religion, some people can not work out morals for them selves, so it helps too have it written down. The bit were it fails is that is was written, re written, then re written again. It needs a new re write, but not by scientologists.
  10. At least we are getting the rain now, in spring its supposed to fecking rain, too me, it seems more like a normal year, as apposed to the last few, that have been all over the place with dry springs and wet summers, a wet spring is to me looking like a good sign of a decent summer.
  11. I'm not religious, but i also believe in the great flood, it was at the end of the last ice age, when sea levels rose quite a few meters.
  12. I don't really want an account that doesn't pay interest. Let the Muslims have it, if they want.
  13. That doesnt disprove it, give it another million years then look again. That doesnt just happen on an island either, it happens all over asia and is triggered by bamboo fruiting.
  14. Thats easy, Buddhists don't believe in possession, so mick was only taking what was his, he just preferred to do it at night, as as a Buddhist, he didn't like confrontation.
  15. I think i might read that book, any pictures ?
  16. Are gorillas not apes and do the not live in grassy fields?. What triggers evolution to slow down or speed up, crocodiles could have evolved to be faster on land or not breath air? All organisms and animals are true survivors what makes anything better than another at surviving? and why do things that turn bad also turn black..........like yellow bananas So many questions, and not enough answers :-) one thing that has always puzzled me is periods, or coming into season, ferrets once a year, dogs twice, wives every fecking month. Why can my wife not be more like a fe
  17. Where evolution baffles me is, take crocodiles they've been around since the prehistoric period with little or no evolution - because if it works well, natural selection slows. They certainly evoled into their current form, and it works, so evolution slowed. If we evolved from apes then why are there still apes?- we branched away from apes, and moved into a different environment grass lands instead of trees, so we changed to adapt to the new environment. It shaped us, then later, we shaped it. Why are there still single cell organisms- because they are true survivors and why are bananas sti
  18. I don't believe you. and will now write you off as a kook.
  19. so the theory is 159 years old, and wars have been fought over religion for maybe 4000 years ?
  20. Thats a bold statement, that Darwin's theory has killed more than religion.
  21. Hoping for a smooth ride, and a solid recovery for her mate.
  22. Use the £1 to print out some handy man flyers, then find a nice local street and drop them round the houses.
  23. don't you just hate it when people spout online about kicking every dark skin out the country in the hope they can get a job in mcdonalds.
  24. Well, it sounds like it's nicked aswell now! I don't like to speculate, but it's probably nicked, written off, cloned, and has loads of finance on it. Maybe. He should probably check the boot too, a pound to a pinch of piss there's a kilo of coke in the tyre well! no chance, the wife would of found that in seconds, she puts the air ports finest dogs to shame.
