My favorite one over here is "Heroes Work Here" as a nod to minimum wage shop workers that aren't issued enough protection equipment and simultaneously refused pay raises and having their hours cut or their positions dissolved. The world we live in eh? Remember when the Princess Of Hearts died? The whole nation was forced into mourning and anyone not following the socially acceptable level of sadness was singled out for abuse... I don't think that's a stretch at all.

Still is! He made a trip out this way a couple of years ago. A true living legend.

You think? Your freedom of choice hasn't been infringed. No one is forcing you to vaccinate and in what would seem like a complete paradox I don't believe anyone should force you to vaccinate. Your choice not to is frankly baffling to me but I liken it to free speech... I may disagree with what you say but I support your freedom to say it. This is no different. I'm more curious as to what measures you're willing take outside of vaccination in the middle of this global pandemic. Distancing? Hygiene? Masks? Etc? None of you have commented on what steps you will take to avoid potential spread of

What vaccine? I wasn't aware they'd even finalized one yet, for C19? How do you know it won't work? Are you psychic or have you already made up your mind? Do you have any evidence that it won't work? Guilt trip is an interesting phrasing! Do you feel guilty about your stance, or something? I'll make some statements now. Please feel free to dispute any or all of them and correct me if I'm wrong. We've been exposed to this virus for a very short period of time. We know a little more as the time passes but it's extremely contagious and the vast majority of cases show no more

Partly yes. If of course a successful vaccine is produced and it's gone through all the checks and balances. No, I don't want it. No, I don't want to pass it on. I'm saying no such thing. I've never made that claim and to the contrary I've said it will probably mutate in a similar way to influenza requiring multiple jabs over time. Recent articles posted online suggest that could be the case but we've been talking about the probability not the definitive. As neither of us are medical professionals we're attempting to have a discussion about it in the General Talk section

Roy Horn, of Las Vegas performers Siegfried & Roy, died Friday 8th May due to complications from Covid-19. I'll keep my eye out for any big cat sightings on the Las Vegas strip!

I've already answered this earlier in the thread but yes I will be taking a vaccine if one becomes available and after all of the checks and balances are taken care of. I understand the potential risk and I'm willing to do it anyway. More for my parents, elderly neighbours and at risk friends and colleagues. However I doubt that Mr Gates will be administering it to me personally so the second part would be highly unlikely. You stated earlier in the thread that you won't be getting one. Fair. Are you willing to take the risk with vulnerable people in your family/community? How does that si
 -
Agreed so why opt out of the ability/opportunity to protect them? I'm basing it on how successful they've been against measles, tuberculosis, diptheria, etc. The benefits to the vulnerable far outweigh the risks. With this particular virus most don't show any symptoms but look what it's doing to care homes across the 1st world. I agree with you on the second point. You do have that choice what to do with your body and no one has the right to tell you what you can and can't do with it. That applies to all and not just for vaccines. The argument here is whether you're willing to exe

As previously posted. What are India and Africa's test levels at? 50%? 100%? 1%? Given that first world is completely unprepared to test even a fraction of it's population do you have any reputable evidence to suggest that this isn't effecting them?
 -
As above. What about vaccination to prevent the spread of the illness to those that are vulnerable? I'm not concerned about my personal health and safety but I will vaccinate if one becomes available after the checks and balances have been addressed. Not so much for my well being as I'm very low risk but for the safety of my parents, neighbours and colleagues. That on it's own is sufficient reason to utilise any vaccine. Agreed but as above, above that. Nutrition doesn't prevent a plethora of diseases that modern medication can. All the organic produce in the world won't change that.
 -
The generation of which you speak are being disproportionately effected by this virus. This is being played out with the data we have at present. I won't pull the current stats for brevity, and open to correction by anyone, but over 55 your risk from this virus is double anyone under 50 and compounds into the 60's and 70's. Yes there are newsworthy examples of the extremes but we have data from 3 countries that is showing this is hitting the elderly the worst. Every preventative measure you've currently listed isn't preventing this. While quality nutrition is indeed extremely important it does

It's effective against malaria, lupus, and rheumatoid arthritis. It also causes serious side effects in those patients yet the treatments continue because it's believed the risk of side-effects is outweighed by the benefits of the treatment. Bit like vaccines but a lot more dangerous. It was untested against C19 and found to have all of the risks and none of the benefits. As someone like yourself who's very keen on research regarding what you're putting into your body would you just blindly follow the recommendations 100% or would you rather see what the outcome would be with further data?
 -
How many people are being tested? An earlier post asked why isn't it effecting India, China and Africa? If the 1st world can't fulfill it's own self decreed testing obligations how realistic is it that India is able to out test us? The US hasn't even got close to a couple of percent of it's population citing testing kit shortages. UK has fallen behind it's own targets for presumably similar reasons. Is it beyond the realms of possibility that the reason we're not hearing about the virus in other countries is that you can't confirm how bad it is because you're either woefully under-testing

Same! Can't argue with that. The problem starts when complete horseshit gets circulated on social media as facts, like 5G causing C19 and Bill Gates being responsible for faulty polio vaccinations that have killed anywhere between 40 and 400,000 Indian kids. If you're willing to research it you'll know it's bullshit. I don't know how you've managed to draw the 100% remark from anything I've posted so far but to clarify, no I don't. In this thread at least two posters have pushed the idea that hydroxychloroquine as a treatment for C19, parroting a reality TV host. Despite showing poor p

Don't worry about it, mate! This anti-vax bollocks comes from ignorance and fear. Fact is we're not doctors and our entire medical training begins and ends with an internet connection. That's why I'll generally look towards someone with actual expertise in these situations. I've had all my jabs. Kids have had all their jabs. Dogs too! It's a straight answer to a straight question. One thing C19 is showing, at least here in the US, that a lot of the anti-vaxxers and many more on the fence are starting to listen to science instead of social media. This is a good thing. That's the main reaso

I currently live 30 miles from the city so something like this wouldn't really work for me with the current technology but it could be viable in the future as this develops. The commute in would be easy but the return trip has a 2500ft incline into the mountains. That would be quite the challenge for the current gear! Thanks for the links!
 -
Bad wording on my part. In your particular circumstances, and anyone else that may have one, what kind of range are you getting commuting wise. I understand that there are a lot of variables, just curious as to how it's factoring in to overall transportation.
 -
What kind of range could you expect on these?

I've always liked Vortex for the money.

The conspiracy stuff can be fun to get into. I did it myself for a bit but then, if you're lucky, you start to see that you're going bonkers and you take a step back. We're not woke we just have an internet connection and we're looking for patterns in pretty much anything. As far as the living off grid stuff goes I think the reasons are as varied as the people doing it. Reality TV shows aren't going to show an accurate picture of anything and the production companies are well known for staging stuff for the TV audience. We have a lot of Vietnam Vets where I live and a lot of them aren't s
