The World Health Organization reckons that there are 147million cannabis users, globally! 2.5% of the global population.

That would be fantastic wouldn't it but according to the Home Office, in 2015/16 annual study showed that 2.1m adults, aged 16-59, has used marijuana that year. That's 6.5% of the population! Shall we tell them not to do it any more? Maybe shout it a little louder?

Not for a couple of generations. They'll see what happens in the States first. The US is far from unanimous on the matter but now California, and Nevada, have gone fully legal it won't be too long before it goes federal. As with most things the conservative states will hold out the longest but Cali usually sets the precedence for the nation.

Do you think that the NHS could do with some extra money for those suffering from mental health issues, as a result? I know a great way to raise the revenue!

Prices vary considerably. Check out the yank second hand stuff too, you can get them for a steal. The story goes like this. They buy a bow for the archery hunt, usually it's an all singing, all dancing compound. It stays in the box until the day of the hunt. They go out walking around and scare the deer away. If they get a shot off they can't hit anything because they never practiced. They go the entire season without a deer, and the tag goes unfilled. It goes under the bed and it never sees the light of day, until someone finds it collecting dust and sells it on eBay or Craigslist for a fract

True but like you said it's aimed at 9 year olds and is trying to combine serious with pop culture. From what I've seen of British schools, recently, showing Rising Damp would probably get them expelled!

My personal thoughts are that the only reason we're in Afghanistan is to secure opium. Free ingredients mean lower overheads which means larger mark ups on opioid medications, a huge amount of business for big pharma. With that kind of financial clout it's easy to see where their lobbying would convince politicians to keep the alternatives illegal. Weed can grow pretty much anywhere like a, er... weed! It's cheap, it's effective, it can be used for much more than just pain relief. The reason they're still arguing it is financial, and you're absolutely correct about public ignorance

I reckon his only get out, if it doesn't go through, is that he can blame it on the lack of funds issued by congress... It's a subtle get out clause but could be the only one. The satire it's creating regarding plans, and articles, is pretty damn good!
