  1. Can't and wouldn't if I could. I'm showing the opposites in the narrative. One man's rioter is another man's protestor. When everyone realizes that they're being played by their so called representatives maybe we'll start to see some kind of meaningful change but I won't see that in my lifetime.
  2. Don wouldn't have made it past his inauguration ceremony.
  3. I wouldn't bet on it even if you gave me the money! I've seen a bit of that too. Again I've seen worse at the Black Friday sales in Las Vegas!
  4. Honestly mate, I've seen worse at the Black Friday sales in Las Vegas.
  5. I'm out of likes so have a If everyone reading this thread did that we could have them running around the countryside but that would a shameless misuse of their resources.
  6. That number doesn't accept international calls, apparently...
  7. That's my view. I don't have a winner or a loser here. Both sides are rotten. Both sides are bad for liberty. Both sides are spinning a PR campaign. It might have a chocolate coating, depending on your viewpoint, but it's still a shit filling.
  8. I've seen a few but honestly this is just more noise in what's a done deal. To my knowledge there wasn't anyone going in there armed, at least visibly. The narrative is that they were overpowered but from where I've been sat it looked more like they were stood down. If you compare the response to the BLM protests in the summer where LE were all in tac gear this seemed obviously different. There's clearly a narrative on display yet we're expected to believe that these people will make us safe if simply comply with their directives?
  9. Here's something we agree on with the media coverage. The narrative has completely shifted from the BLM protests. Rioters and protesters are interchangeable. Whichever side you agree with it's a protest. If you don't it's a riot. My view? The people served a no knock warrant. They showed the establishment who calls the shots, even if it was only for a couple of hours, and it also demonstrated that when seconds count the police are only minutes away. And this is where I come in with the criticism of the incoming administration that follows the outgoings. Our rights and liberties are u
  10. So were they overpowered, or did they stand down?
  11. I agree with you but Twatter, Farcebook, etc are private companies, with terms of service agreements. They can arbitrarily enforce, or ignore, any rule they please. It's hypocrisy, for sure, but those are the house rules. This forum is subject to it too, but remains one of the few places you can post what you want. If they held every one accountable to the TOS this would be a very quiet forum on some topics. The fact that Dorsey and Co let a lot of sh*t slide is why they should be avoided but no one's rights have been effected.
  12. We're only slightly milder than normal but the nights do tend to cool off significantly. We don't get as cold as you but I get out in it as much as I can. The summers here can be brutal and it's usually then that the time outside is limited because we can't carry enough water for all of us.
  13. I've used a G-Shock for years. Blazing desert to the snowy mountains. I stumped up a little extra for the solar version and one that corrects the time with the atomic clock. Short of taking it off and seeing whether it'll take a 5.56 to the face the thing is unkillable.
  14. Currently -1°C here low today is -13°. Pretty mild for our usuals but the 30mph winds aren't helping.
  15. Agreed. His fans are turning on anyone that speaks against him. Even Pence. That's how conspiracies work. They're all in on it now! A pardon would get him off the hook for any potential federal follow ups but they don't apply to the individual states, as is my understanding. The state of New York are getting ready to throw the book at him but if anything sticks it remains to be seen. Now that the puppet shown has drawn the curtain I'm more concerned about what the incoming administration has up it's sleeve. It would be easy to gloat but we're honestly no better off. Don's clownery
  16. Agreed. He just kept turning the dial up from there.
  17. He needed to reassure the public in what was a chaotic time. He didn't. He was an incumbent president sat on a record economy. Simply saying "Don't Panic, We've Got This" would have made him untouchable. America spoke because he didn't. It is my opinion and it's one shared by millions of Americans. You know I don't like him but that is a definitive moment where his popularity started to shift.
  18. I don't think there's enough time left on the clock. Seems like pure posturing from where I'm sat.
  19. Back in March 2020, if he'd addressed the public and said "This is serious. We've got your six though. I'm putting my best people on it and we will win this," he'd have won by a f*ck*ng landslide.
  20. Internet crank with a law degree! Seems to be enjoying his 15 minutes since the Kraken lawsuit sank... He seems to be another one that likes someone to stick a microphone under his nose. How deep do you want to go down that rabbit hole? Hard to say. I've honestly heard more chatter in here about the election, than locally, since the middle of November. Covid crops up quite a bit but I've been tuning in to THLNN for all things Trump, since Fox dropped him!
  21. Honest question. Do you know how voter ID work in the US?
  22. Overturning the will of the people, using the influence of his office and disregarding the results of his constitutionally mandated performance review is not constitutional. He isn't trying to challenge the result he's trying to overturn it. His legal challenges are exhausted. He needs to step aside.
  23. Fair comment, mate. It's all over the news this side, mate. Corporate news right the way through. I understand that people don't like the result. I don't but for different reasons. The system is on trial here. The Constitution through to the electoral process and regardless of the result, the appeals, the lawsuits, and the utter horse sh*t spouted, the system has passed the test even if the people working the system stink like an open sh*tter. All of the rights we have left were paid for in blood at some point in history, and to watch people trying to sh*t all over it because they found t
