The video was shot from a distance so it's hard to say whether he had back up. The refusal to return fire would make sense with the amount of people milling around. Hitting innocent bystanders is another no no. No one seems to intervene to get him away from his assailants, so I wonder whether he was alone, which again begs the question as to why? Exactly. There's been so much irony on display in this last political cycle it's hard to know where to start. Off the top of my head have you seen how many Blue Lives Matter flags were on display?

Yet he hasn't contacted the fallen officer's family nor ordered the capitol's flags at half mast, as is tradition in these circumstances. Pence has though, but we've seen how the tide has turned against him in the last 4 days.

Yep. Warning shots are a no no BTW. The fact that the officer was being beaten and ultimately died from the injuries sustained in this encounter begs the question as to why no one opened fire on his assailants. They're justified in lethal force to save the life of another and this ticks all the boxes. If no one was there as his backup then it begs the next question of why?

The narrative was that police were overpowered. When you compare the situations it's almost like they didn't turn up. One was a show of force the other almost like an invitation for a tour.

I honestly have no idea, mate. The situation is baffling and no doubt will become one of the more compelling conspiracies of 2021. When you compare it to this picture, taken during the BLM protests at the capitol... ... it's almost like an entirely different world.

The video of the beating of Capitol Hill police officer, Brian Sicknick, is circulating. He managed to crawl away and died in an office a short time later. He was a 15 year veteran of the Capitol Police and an avid Trump supporter.

Conspiracies aside that was by design. They didn't want people mingling because of Covid fears. The inauguration will be the same to my understanding but no doubt the lack of people attending will be because the election was rigged and he didn't have the support, as opposed to people taking the advice and heeding the direction. He's the hero we need and the hero we deserve.

And herein lies the full scope of the problem, although it would be a great solution as it would empty both houses pretty quick! A short term solution would be to pass a law that required them to wear jackets that show their sponsors. Like the NASCAR drivers. That way any time they open their mouths we know who's backing them and we can see the context much easier.

With Covid it was going to be a headache and I believe they were trying to limit the attendance for that alone. I'm sure they'll be beefing up the security, which given the week, shouldn't be too difficult. We need Paul Blart.
