And I believe you Adam. I've often struggled whilst others caught and vice versa. It happens, but I seen the report for the Moy on the fishinginireland website. Have a look.

Hepher get a photo up on here and Moochers . The only way to stop these c**ts is when caught name and shame them ,then put the blowtorch to their balls . No it wont. Any man who steals dogs has no morals and wont care about being called a thief. In fact there's some who'll admit to it and there's some who'll admit to buying stolen dogs. There's one well known dog thief making a fortune selling dogs and he was first caught stealing dogs 20 years ago. Stopping the trade in dogs is the only way to stop these low life pieces of shit and that aint going to happen. And it's easy sitting on

Don't know what you were doing wrong but the catch report for the Moy last week was 296 salmon caught.

There's 100s of 1,000,000s of forums on the WWW I bet this is the only one were a topic can go from T + L shows to S + M shows.

I've judged terriers five or six times at shows, lurchers twice and the wheaten class at Tandragee. I've not had one person come up to my face and tell me I haven't a clue. I've had snide remarks said about me and probably a million bad words said behind my back. I've always thought that if a show organiser thought enough of me to ask me to judge then the least I could do was have the manners to say yes, if I hadn't nothing on on that day. I've also thought it manners to do my best on the day. IMO most folk who'd judge a show wouldn't loose one wink of sleep over the bad loosers. Also to a

I hear what your saying Tony. But IMO the true expert is the countryman who knows the countryside from being in it, both working, watching and harvesting it. Not from books or classrooms or bambi type ideals. When a terrierman or huntsman gets accused of interfering with a sette these are the type of people who are called upon to give expert evidence in court. This goes for keepers accused of bird of prey crimes too. I deal with Anti's regularly and I wouldn't call them foolish or ignorant. They are most certainly not fools. Also they know the truth about hunting so they most certainly are

And for those of you who've never seen it it's on again tonight. LOL, I couldn't tell you whats on BBC or RTE but always check Horse and Country.

Go on Linton Lad, tell us more. Did he kick the shit out of the quad????

There you go. I started watching it the first night but turned it off after something silly was said. But not before it showed the badger sette that they had their cameras all set up for. The entrance was full of leaves and I said to myself that whoever's watching that knows nothing of badgers. Night 2 they held up a card and written on it it said "BADGERS 0". They said there was still no sign. At this time of year badgers should be appearing at dusk and will be quiet active. Also the population of a sette would be at it's highest at this time of the year. Every terrierman should know the

OK Scent I have to agree with you and the LEGAL snareing of badgers is something I have a big problem with. BUT the main reason these dept. men get the job is because they're experienced ex-terrier men and hunters. They know Badgers. You's are getting away from my point. In a court of law these so called experts with their "so called" expertise and experience could cause a countryman to do a spell behind bars. Possibly an innocent man. It will be interesting to see do any badgers emerge from the sette. Mind you, at this time of year Badgers would be very active so if after 2 days nothings

I watched a bit of it last night and I'm looking at it now. Don't ask me why. Anyways, they have a camera set up to film Badgers emerging from their sette. It's now day 2. Last night I remarked to my family that that badger sette looks unused. Tonight they still haven't seen a badger emerge. Now these people are supposed to be wildlife experts. Have they got it wrong?? Anyone who works terriers should be educated in the signs of the badger. I know I am. Makes you wonder about a so called experts word in court against an experienced terrier man.

EASY OR A LOT OF MESSING ABOUT ?
neil cooney replied to am back's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
A good post Fat Man and I know that some terriers that weren't good enough for yourself have made other terrier men very happy. Pip springs to mind. I also know that some top class workers have died of old age on your yard. -
Brilliant, would loved to have heard the hounds without Disturbed ruining it.

I remember about 3 years ago another hunt out of the same meet as the one I mentioned earlier. A few minutes after moving of a small vixen could be seen moving along a ditch in front of the pack as they drew along. Soon the pack marked her. We were on our way into them when the huntsman spotted the vixens partner just ahead sneaking away. He was a massive dog fox, nearly orange in colour with an unusually large amount of white in his chest. He was white from one front leg to the other. The huntsman quickly got the pack on his line and the hunt was on. To get out of this field wire had to be

Sorry Neil it was a January day. with a mounted pack near me. I did have an hour and a half hunt in the cubbing with another fox hound pack near me. As good as any proper day and killed him on top after it but it was messy running, nothing like the spin in Jan. Ah, I was wondering Johnny. In January it was a good chance it was a wandering dog fox. One and a half hours is a good foxhunt.

Fairplay cries foulplay, LOL. 24 posts and all on showing. You take your showing very seriously don't you. -
The hair will stand on the back of your neck anytime anywhere if the music is good enough. Johnny, that was a good start for any mans season. Do you's usually have a few horses out that early in cubbing?
-
Nice pups, like peas in a pod. Nows when the dreams and hopes start, best of luck with them.
-
As you do Old Dog, wont be long now 'till we're on the bog, six in the morning, waiting for the first bit of music of the year. As you know ,anyone who hasn't experienced it hasn't lived.

That terrier is not of a common type so I would spread those pictures far and wide. You might be lucky and good luck.

First fox found in a fox covert quickly marked to ground and left. Next to try was a patch of briars smaller than a quater acre. It held two brace. Hounds got a line on one but two fields later marked him too to ground. Another was seen crossing a road the other side of the small covert and hounds were quickly brought around and found their line. I stood in the back of a pick up (as you do)and we got around quick to where we thought he'd be heading for. We turned right at a junction and here I could see the hunted fox heading for the road we were on. I tapped the roof of the pick up and t

Ultimate fowl is hard to beat. No bullshit, just good information on keeping your chickens in good nick.

I can see tomorrows headlines, "fox hung from clothsline and baited with terriers". I just hope you had shot that poor fox first. And if you put that fox on the shooting forum I think every one would agree it's a 40 pounder. yours in sport.
