  1. Never mind a list.......................its Andy Carroll simple Just out of interest, who are you trying to prove is top ?....apart from Mandy that is.
  2. Oh well silly me i must be a fool then......................the fact that a labrador x boxer could just as easily be taken as " type " means an " old time american bulldog " or whatever you want to call it could just as easily, probably even easier be taken as " type "......................the fact people in todays climate could post pictures of their dogs on a public internet forum even if they remotely resemble a pit bull type dog in anyway....................tells me i might be a big fool......but not as big a fool as some
  3. Brilliant that bit where they managed to get 3 of them around the 1 bison with the youngun.........couldnt make out how they never got it though looked like the hard work was done................fascinating them sort of programs.
  4. Sorry i dont know nothing about fishing just the title Lea Valley Park caught my eye......years ago we used to bike the dogs up there Tuffty i dont know if you can still do it we would get on the river bank around Hackney Marshes go right up through the reservoirs at Tottenham under the m25 slip around all the fisherman at Lea Valley up to Dobbs Weir, turn around and come back............great days
  5. The Suarez dive was nowhere near as funny as the dive of that prat Phil Neville !!............what a plum.......if that had been Suarez,Torres or any of the other high profile foreigners we would be calling for their head...........but hey its tough tackling Phil Neville the " good old pro " !!
  6. not in ireland there not, plus there is european and american members aswell But unfortunately hes asking for pics and pics can be traced to ip address. As said theres no pitbull crosses on here. But i dont think a pitbull lurcher would come under a pitbull type. Didnt you post a picture on here the other day of a pit bull type dog .........strange considering your statement above.
  7. Training/forcing a dog to lie on its back for 30 seconds is every bit as unnatural as giving a dog its food then taking it away half way through eating it...........they are both pointless acts that prove absolutely nothing.........dogs dont rationalise like people do.....he,s not saying " well ok i see your point i,ll let you take my food and i,ll do what you say when you say it because you are the big chief "..............if need be i could make a dog stand perfectly still over a 24 hour period.....have i proved im the big chief ? of course i havent ive just pushed my dog to the limit of his
  8. If you asked the dog to lay on its back with 4 feet in the air for a 30 second time period............would that be showing you respect ?............or would it be an unnatural and completely unecessary humiliation to show whos boss ?
  9. We,re not talking about changing bedding we,re talking about feeding..............the one time of the day a dog gets to be " a dog " within the home environment and im going to come along and say " no stop that behaviour right now "........no way. I believe you can use a dogs intelligence both for and against you i dont feel i need to break a dog down mentally to get his respect.....if a dog doesnt have the intelligence in the first place to be able to give up a possession then he wont be around long anyway.......but giving up on his dinner,no i wont make a dog do that i dont think its necess
  10. How on earth can you fit " im dad to my kids 24/7 "................and " in the wild the pack leader can do whatever he wants ".................into the same subject Dogs are no longer wild animals..................and kids...............well they are not dogs are they
  11. Thats a nicely bred dog ...... the Six Bits/Maverick stuff never really found its way over to Europe certainly not to Britain anyway...........i knew somebody over your side years ago who had some stuff off Wardog he was Sixbits if my memory serves me correct.......anyway regardless of poor confirmation if that dogs a decent representative of his blood he should be able to close his mouth enough for your English Bull as well ......thanks for posting
  12. For what reason would you take a dogs food off him mid meal ?....Im not so much talking about pet dogs in the home and around kids as thats a completely different set of circumstances that in my mind do not apply to a dog kept outside and purely for work......Some folk seem far too quick to stick to these principals of " any sign of aggression and its gone "....why destroy a dog over an unnatural situation YOU created on purpose.....if it showed aggression in a NATURAL situation then fair enough....they are dogs not robots i couldnt respect any dog who is prepared to roll over and be totally d
  13. Thats all fair enough if you have a dog living its life in the house with the family but personally ive never had or wanted that hence ive never had a need to dominate a dog and have it " know its place " as you say...........ive found the best ways of gaining a dogs trust and bonding with it to the point it will do anything to please you is to allow it a little slack and not deny him his right to be an animal.......he is then pleasing you because he WANTS to not because he HAS to....if its a dog of decent intelligence it will know its place within the relationship without the need to constant
  14. Whats the idea of these cages they look tiny little things is it some kind of tradition or something or just a temporary thing....surely you would never see a bird at its best cooped up like that.
  15. Fiver a head he was just showing off to his bird acting like he,s " one of the lads "............probably slung them out the car window after he dropped her off home
  16. You have a heavy bred Eli dog and your faffing about with English Bull Terriers ......Havent you heard the saying " why go out for a burger when you have steak at home " Id be interested to know what way the dogs bred.....just to reminisce a little !
  17. I tend to believe that dogs hold/bite hard because they want to bite hard................ive seen the ugliest shitty little rodent looking dogs perform out of this world because they wanted to..................ive also seen the most conformationally perfect dogs not able to bite through a crisp packet. I agree theres a certain amount of appeal to any nicely conditioned animal.......but in my opinion poor confirmation rarely gets in the way of drive focus and intensity
  18. Then without wishing to sound impolite.......you are a fool !
  19. Why would you have a child around a dog thats eating ?.............and why let the kids pull your dogs about a kid should be taught to respect a dog no dog should be put through the stress of being pulled about. Ive had dogs you wouldnt go within 10 feet of when they are eating even getting the empty bowl away was done with the broom yet they was the most loyal and affectionate dogs you could wish for any other time.............im a believer in letting a dog be a dog and respecting what he is.......but i accept you need a certain amount of trust in a pet friend of the family type dog.
  20. Cant see anything wrong with them myself not everyone wants to spend their time in the countryside hunting or fishing some folk just want to admire it and be around it seems perfectly natural to me.......
  21. Totally agree Bird taking bones or food off a dog is an unecessary scenario and puts an unnatural stress on a dog for no other reason than to " test him out ".......if someone come and took my fork out of my hand as it was on its way to my mouth they would get a clump and im a mere human being !......why push a dog like that show him respect the only reason you should need to touch a food bowl is to wash it after.
  22. Could be better mate but thanks for asking
  23. Always wondered about Mcguigans temperament as a fighter retiring at 28 having never really been in a war or taken a hiding......he clearly loves the game as he,s spent all his life in it and has a wealth of knowledge and an obvious passion for the sport......met him a few times over the years says he has no regrets...........we,re all made different i guess.
  24. All good Ben hope your doing ok mate..................no i,ll never get it,for me all that shit takes away from what sport essentially is dont get me wrong my manor has its problems as do most areas but for me the beauty of sport is when you step over the white line, into the ring or onto the track.......thats all left behind and its just about the man/team in front of you...................but then maybe i live in cinderella land eh
  25. Without wishing to offend..........why would somebody called " working bull and terrier " be so bothered about " a straighter profile " and importing one " that looks like those " and be calling dogs amazing specimens based on a photograph If they are an improvement on the obese caricatures that everyone is sick of seeing then great.........but the last thing they need is another bunch of people breeding for another type of look..............exactly the same thing happened with the Stafford, people supposedly reviving the breed got so obssessed about how long a dogs legs were they bred useles
