  1. I would think that the public in general getting this subject between their teeth would be the worst possible thing for folk like you Greyman ?....every Tom Dick and Harry will have their " experiences " and it quickly becomes a mockery i would imagine the smaller the circle of genuine people interested in the subject the better in terms of reaching the truth.
  2. Goodjohn made a rash decision he should of just paid the fine and got his license back, now he,s done this he will never be able to fight licensed again presuming the bbboc still have the same rules they did years ago.....as for Kevin Mitchell fighting is the last thing on his mind the poor f****r buried his brother last week ....good little fighter himself as well RIP young Vincent.
  3. Remember mate i started all that stuff before the times when you could just click information off the internet we had to find stuff out for ourselves in the real world you had no choice but to educate yourself i wasnt just going to blindly follow what someone tells me for my chosen sport the way lads do today purely for the reflection in the mirror !! Being honest im still not sure if i did any physical damage,5 years ago i had to have a minor heart procedure which at the time i put solely down to steroids ( which seemed to make sense at the time )....but i wanted to get to the bottom of
  4. I was always a big guy i never stacked steroids to get big mine was always power/weight related, yes my appearance looked leaner but that was neither here nor there it was the mechanics....anabolic steroids are a derivative of testosterone you are trying to maximise the anabolic and androgenic but its still a male hormone and under the right stress your body is going to repair bigger and stronger and i was a dedicated very focused guy so yes it was worth it for the activity i was involved in at the time....today my goals are more health related and general function, energy flow, range of movement
  5. I have nothing to hide or be ashamed of i was on and off the gear for about 15 years it was an interesting stage of life that i wouldnt like to go back to but certainly dont regret,i was competing in a sport that didnt forbid it and was living a very violent life whereby it didnt hurt to be at your physical best as part of everyday life.....the morality of it all is a silly discussion to have as i neither need or want to change anyones opinions simply because outside of top professional sport it doesnt really matter. People still look at steroids like they are a magic tablet if
  6. Tyler Goodjohn was a good fighter the fight he lost to Johnny Garton was much closer than the judges had it and John went on to win a British Title i think Goodjohn made the wrong move here.
  7. I always think the tough games this time of year are against the teams in relegation battles and Liverpool dont have any....City have Burnley and Brighton who are fighting for their life......id love to see Liverpool nick it.
  8. I dont know why Wada,Ukad,Usad,Vada,Nada even exist....why not just ask Lurcherman887
  9. Its the age old saying...you could put Julian Clary on steroids they wont make him any more of a man. No steroids can compensate for poor genetic inheritance.
  10. If you use steroids you need to train harder than ever otherwise theres no point taking them.....but for me personally i was already a big strong chap who had taken my body pretty much to its limit naturally and decided, probably in a similar way that you might decide to go out and spend fortunes on tuning your already quick car engine just to see what you can really get out of it,that i wanted to take my body a little bit beyond what nature could take it.....i never went over the top and steroids never made me do anything i wouldnt of done anyway....vanity,athletic obssession maybe.....call it
  11. I think Khan probably should have called it a day after the Alvarez ko....he makes too many mistakes in fights to carry on fighting when his reactions are slowing he,ll end up getting hurt... you would like to think the experience in his camp would be having some honest conversations with him over the coming weeks.....shame really i think he was a fighter who got every last bit of talent he had out of himself, quite admirable really.
  12. Yes mate i have no reason to be juicing these days.
  13. This case with Miller is probably the worst case ive ever heard of he wasnt just trying to gain an edge he was looking to literally kill Joshua !!....im not one for bans and punishment but personally i dont think Miller should ever be allowed to earn money through sport again......he was done for HGH which is an obvious one for a strength/explosive athlete....EPO which again is quite obvious for an endurance athlete.....they both utilise your own body but the third substance he e took Cardarine is literally like changing your genetic make up its whats called a Peroxisome Proliferator Activated
  14. Absolutely.....recreational sport is for everybody.....high level competitive sport is for very few.
  15. Its like any business though you want to cash in on an opportunity nobody is going to fight Joshua for peanuts but at the same time nobody wants to pay over the odds its a fine line for Hearn and any future opponent, the list he " should have " is the same list any of us can look at but its the time scale that limits that list the tv date is booked so a list of maybe 10 fighters now becomes 3 or 4....then once a couple of them price themself out your virtually stuck with 1 or 2 opponents and looking at almost a Rocky type scenario. Personally i dont think the governing bodies should be all
  16. Not wishing to denigrate what you do Wilf as im sure you do a fine job but is that scenario not a little bit like the conversation a pure football coach might have with a P.E teacher ?.....it sounds like the Dutch guy is dealing with a higher level of player and just feels like kids who are obviously not going to become footballers should just be allowed to play.....i kind of agree with him. The harsh reality is most kids/people are not going anywhere in the game so shouldnt they just be encouraged to enjoy it for what it is ?.....of course they should be taught to do things the right way
  17. Ortiz is a southpaw though i very much doubt it,ll be him.... 6 weeks whatever it is just isnt long enough to train for a left handed fighter when your mid camp training for a right handed fighter.
  18. Good for you.....well nice chatting to you and best of luck in the game, cheers ?
  19. I thought your average Lion was around a couple of hundred kg......1500 takes some believing it would have to be the size of a bus !
  20. Gotcha... it sounds like the sort of thing where you can take it as far as your wallet allows,do you have a background in the game Sid....ex player or something ?....fair do,s by the way. Sorry for the 20 questions its just ive recently put a few quid into a non league club near me and just sussing out how everything works its surprised me how organised and professional it all is even at that level.
  21. Ah right i see cheers.....so how do you progress through the badges is there some kind of exam ?.....and how does it allow a coach to have his own ideas if its geared towards a certain ideal.....or does that come later on ? I only ask because i cant quite get my head around " teaching " a coach how to coach it almost suggests that anyone could do it.
  22. I dont really know much about this St George's Park it seems a place clouded in mystery but maybe theres good things happening through that.....even back in the late 80,s i remember hearing about local lads being packed off to Lilleshall that was seen as they had virtually made it in the game that would probably be Beckhams generation but now kids are signed up to pro clubs by 8 and 9 years old i dont know if thats the done thing in Holland ?....but i think as far as on the pitch go,s the ideas we have taken from the Dutch in general have worked for us.
  23. Ive said the same to old timers their usual response is " well Georgie Best didnt do too bad " .....and as for muddy pitches, hard leather boots and playing while he was pissed ?
  24. Thats a really good post squire i dont quite remember watching the names you mention i vaguely remember Norman Hunter playing for Bristol City but one of the first ever displays of a real hardman nature i remember watching was in the 82 World Cup do you remember Gentile for Italy ?.....he literally followed Maradona around the pitch against the Argies and had Zico scared out of his wits against Brazil without really chopping them down he just physically and mentally intimidated possibly the 2 best players in the world out of the games and for me was a big factor in Italy winning the tournament
  25. I agree to an extent but i think its just something my/our generation have got to live with i much prefer the old first division days and when the Fa Cup was the dream but football is bigger than our little island and its unrealistic to think it wouldnt become a global game with global stars.....i still say the rolling around nonsense is a small price to pay for being able to watch some of the worlds best footballers infront of our eyes on a weekly basis for me the good still outweighs the bad.
