Like most of the football hooligan films these Top Boy/Adulthood little spade flix have a pot shot at what they believe that life to be like and then go totally overboard for dramatic effect they just dont have the huge amount of numbers and time to portray it accurately and ends up an unrealistic joke and poor little black boy gotta do what i gotta do bla bla bla yeah f**k off i was around the first few Frontlines in London years ago and it was f****n desperate....soppy little kids thinking they are all that making money,knocking each other over and taking risks for people they never even kne

A manny dog kept specifically for sport you are not going to try to break to anything its just a daily grind of managing to avoid situations....a dog i mentioned earlier i had for 3 months without incident yet he wanted to tear my limbs off daily.....after a hard session i could rub him down from nose to tail as he was too exhausted to care but guarantee that same dog next morning fully refreshed would be looking to drag me away and eat me and so the whole process starts again.....to feed a true man biter you must have a serious love for the breed in my opinion.

Ive always compared it to an idiotic immature 17 year old going out buying a Ferrari,in theory he can,but finances/insurance etc make it difficult to do..... but he can buy an equally dangerous dog with no such difficulties.

Cheers i'll keep an eye out for him he seems quite a cool cat,the parts he plays anyway.....although didnt go a bundle on that " Town " film i think those robbery/street shoot out movies are all second rate after you've watched " Heat ".

Not to say you're someone who spooks easily ? but anyone who can read dogs shouldnt have a problem with a pit bull,whether you could get the best from it thats a whole different ball game. There was always a lot of hysteria surrounding the breed via the media etc......i shaped up a lot of dogs years ago and the vast majority were a pleasure to be around.....its just that the bad ones were f****n bad !

As regards man aggressive dogs ive always thought an out and out indiscriminate biter that hates people is far easier to control ( on a yard obviously ) than an unpredictable dog i was round a number of dogs years back that wanted to hurt me as quick as look at me and between a couple of you they was quite easy to deal with.....but the dog you usually walk up to to fuss and this time he hits the end of his chain like he's going to tear your arm off......they're just bad news thankfully they are few and far between.

Must admit that doesnt look like a purebred Apbt to me Charts but thats not to say isnt....what bloodline was it ? The thing is back then nearly every dog of the breed being imported was for sport so people knew what they was getting in terms of blood as they'd made the right connections over the pond.

Excellent,glad to hear he's still kicking on i imagine he did ok for himself he always struck me as a fella who could hustle up a pound note.....i remember me and a pal going down there mid 80's a couple of wide boy Cockneys with cash on the hip he probably could of turned us right over but didnt....i dont know what sticks in my mind most about him his Del Trotter sheepskin and cap or his Elvis impersonations in the Barbican he was a funny bloke and a smashing character.

I think Mo brought dogs in just after Reid brought Capone and Trudy in but im told neither of them were first but who knows.

Cant say the names ring any bells mate.....the breed was in the Uk long before that though mate even old man Reid brought some over in 76 and i very much doubt he was the first.

The straight Nelis/Tug stuff wasnt too bad although Smuggler done his owners 2 year old daughter as i remember and Neilson was a horrible b*****d but it was mainly the stuff crossed with Mayfield blood for some reason little Fenner tagged me a couple of times neither time anything too serious but he wanted it to be.

Indeed it was mate yes....i loved the line from a breeding and sporting perspective,but those big black nostrils and piercing little orange eyes still give me the f****n horrors !

What gives me shivers is the fact that dog not only sired some very good sporting dogs but also sired dogs that went into family pet homes.....even though the whole line was renowned for being manny ! Dont get me wrong theres good knowledgeable folk that have and do keep the breed as pets without issues....but its a needless risk in my opinion.
