You can net foxes with a terrier that bays (barks) at the quarry, i've had some big terriers but they did all right to ground. Stick with your pup mate till it's older as at 42 weeks old it is still too young for quarry that will bite back. As has been said they fold there legs back so it's chest size that counts. If it's chest size is 9 inch then it might get stuck but that is a slight risk. The pup will only be chasing the other terrier as that's what pups do. Good luck with them mate

I'm going on some land around morrpeth as the farmer wants them cleared so it's pest control not sport but fun being out anyway, we'll have a trip out later in the season mate. It's hard to get land around here as i've asked a few for permission but with no luck

Welcometo the site mate, can't help you with the price though but for a new pcp i'd consider the air arms, bse super 10 or ultra or hw100, also the cyclone range as i've heard some good stuff about them

Give him ago mate, put him down next to the hole and let him have a good sniff about for a couple of minutes. When he see's the hole or gets the scent of a rabbit his curiosity should lead him down into the set. Make sure you have a collar on him and good luck with your ferreting
