  1. Kat does hybrid vigour come in to it as i rekindled my interest in harris hawks on saturday due to a trip out with a male harris hawk, the lad who owns the bird was on about a peregrine cross but i can't remember the other bird
  2. Good shooting and it's nice to see the kids getting involved in the sport
  3. whats simple about it ..you want to know that its 8 months 17 days 12 hours and 36 minutes for a dog to reach its full height ...FFS how long is a piece of string....smaller dogs are fully grown quicker than taller dogs ..i've seen dogs 26 TTS at 14/15 months old make 28 at 18 months old what sort of lurcher would grow like that just so i know what to look for in the future. Deerhound/greyhounds are like that as they are slow growers compared to say whippet/greys

  9. So do I, he's a troll that caused a argument on another forum by taking a picture off another site and claiming to own the bull cross in the picture but saying it was a whippet x spaniel/lab :wallbash: He was also on about putting 4 ferrets to ground and hearing them squeal and when he went back to the set they were at the top of the hole dead
  10. If they get on fine at home there shouldn't be any problems out in the fields mate, Festa with yours being as young it will be easy as long as you keep an eye on the ferret, because if the ferret nips it now when the pup is older it will kill them
  11. Is it broken to ferrets because if it isn't you will have to break it, i normally break my dogs to ferrets inbetween 6 - 8 weeks by letting the ferrets and pups run around together, then get them drinking milk out of a saucer together. When you take the terrier out let it mark a working rabbit sett and put the ferret in and let the terrier see the ferret working as it will help build up the bond between them. Good luck with your ferreting mate
