Like I said in my first post lack of socialisation, whether in the house or outside. The poor dog hasn't had any in my opinion so good for you for getting him and hopefully at 10 months he isn't spoilt mentally. Good luck with him mate:thumbs:
Chriso as has been said, when it's calm it's best to get out and check your zero first then sit and wait outside the setts for them to come out, when you shoot the first one don't run over to pick it up but wait for a few more to come out
Trying to seek attention when he tries to bring food up mate (it's like he is trying to fit in the pack) , when he starts just take him in the garden and when he is out there give him plenty of attention till he stops
It sounds like he hasn't been socialised, just take him out when there is nothing to scare him to start with then gradually introduce him to everyday sounds and sights like people or cars and things like that, good luck with him:thumbs:
As Fence_Hopper says if you have nothing to lose then go for it, they should be good dogs just put plenty of time in with the basic training and bonding with the pup
Depends what sort of the ground the dog will be running on, whippet/greyhounds, bedlington x whippets or greyhounds or collie x whippets will be ideal for running rabbits day or night
It just depends mate, my friend lined his 26" saluki cross bitch with a 27" lurcher to lurcher and some of her pups are 21", what sort of pup is it as it could throwback to any of the breeds that went in to the parents
