Yes Scarface a nice treat to help them along will do them no harm, cut down giving the treat though after a few days, say 1 treat every 5 times, then once every 10 times or so

With a long bit of rope tied to it's collar, let it run for a bit then shout n it and if it doesn't respond a quick tug on the rope should have it starting to come back to you

Patrick I bought a big blue bitch about 10 years ago now, that had been lined before she was a year old, I got her after the litter was weaned and she was haemorrhaging like anything (weeing blood) after a few months of treatment she could finally run for me but she never realised her full potential. She shouldn't put any weight on during her heat

Same with me pal, recall is a must for all my dogs. First thing any dog should be taught I.L not just workers but pet dogs, boils me when I see uncontrollable pet dogs running loose and you hear the same owners shouting on them all the time, especially near main roads

Recall for me as I sometimes work the dogs around factories and industrial sites killing rats, so need the dog to be completely steady to the recall

That is the american style Rob, although with some foreign shooters on pheasant days I think hi-viz is needed, been lucky myself a few times, there idea of a high enough bird is above foot height
