    Got a call out this morning so text my mate about going out, he agreed but wouldn't be able to use his terrier as it's in sick bay. Loaded my 2 terriers and the old greyhound up in the jeep with the gear and headed out to meet the keeper. When we arrived we had a coffee and bacon sandwich off the keepers wife then headed to where the pair had been seen. First sett (a 3 holer) was stinking of fox so put the little bitch in and she was straight on it , after about 5 minutes the first one bolted and my mate shot it, a nice sized dog fox .     thanks mate. .. ill be working them for the first time next season.so wont know till then if there up to the job. im confident they will be. ill know in a few months one way or the other. the dog will be used for earthwork .the bitch i hope to use as a bushing dog with the lurcher and whippit. thats the plan anyay. hope it works out .     walk all ya want.they need run fit.walkings only exercise run them hard at hares from sept.just hitting peak same time as the hares..only fair innit. They get ran hard at my work mate , of course I don't run hares with them as it's illegal your just throwing a tennis ball 5 times each a day That is hard enough :laugh: , sometimes only throw the ball two times when I'm feeling lazy

    :yes: ferreting, ratting, lamping and also marking to ground for the terriers, she is spot on and puts plenty in the bag cheers for the reply, how old is she and how is she with injuries/feet?pm if you prefer, there are a few greyhound lads around me and i often get the offer of 1 that might not make the grade on the track, don't know if any of the track hounds would last long out in the field here as they are just not built for it. She is coming up 3, only had 1 foot injury (broke a toe which the bone man at the track fixed) I also use her for retrieving shot birds at work. She is
