    in the 70's, bill and gary used the same strain of fell terrier i.e. from barker / wilkinson stuff, and used each others dogs for lining. bill went on to the blue and tans and eventually blacks, and gary went the opposite way i.e. a bit of welsh. i followed the old line of middleton terrier and used a little bit of brightmoor stuff in my own stuff, and produced some excellent workers.

    a have borders from this line bred down from ray walker and I know of only a few lads who still keep them true there are alot of people who think they have but unfortuneatly it has been diluted and other lines used

    Have one dog pup left - 8 weeks old, black & tan, docked & chipped by vet. Bred for own use, just this little fella left. Must go to working home, (please not pet or show). Both parents workers. - £150.00. sold

    Ray was a very good friend of mine, he will be missed in the working terrier world, a true and straight man, he was never happier than when he had a terrier to ground and a shovel in his hand. R.I.P. mate.

    It is nice to see lads talk about working borders and not putting them down I wonder if Dave Harcombe carried on with his borders all those years ago that you would see more working borders Dave has had a great influence on working terriers and I am sure that if Dave had carried on breeding them he would of write more about them and alot more terrier men might have used them.I think we all are influenced by what is written especially up and coming young lads.Just before Dave changed to Patterdales he was offered a few working borders from Levi Oakes working line of borders.But Dave refused an

    I wonder if anybody has used dried meat bought a bag of it was told to mix it with hot water leave to cool and feed dogs but dogs seem to have bad diarrhoea.As anybody else had this dry meat and had this trouble,bought two bags for £21.00 each.They have been on it for a week but has been having the same trouble i have tried to mix it with other food but no difference ,anybody help!
