Decent all the best with the pups hope they make good earth dogs/bitches......a few quid made there towards a bellman & flint and a good bull dog shovel though eh?... I work for a living mate already got bellman and bull dog shovel it not about money but keeping a good line of working Borders and seeing the pups work

££££ if the man himself had sold to working homes only be a differant story .. once the show folk get hold of em they`ll never see an earth ...the mans made a decent living out of selling terriers he told me in the 80s he took 10k in a month for 3 adult dogs and a load of pups .. make no bones about it GARY MIDDLETON was agood digging man and could breed top stuff

does gary middleton still keep terriers .they look smart i never known any one who kept them. reef still got a few about me got them back in the 70s so had the lines for a long time Raymond friend Ian had a few to thats how I got to know raymond do not think Gary got the old stuff now back in the 70/80 Gary stuff was the best in my opinion but that was a long time ago

This is one of the dogs that I sent up to Gary in 1984, as you can see he is rich in black and tan. He was a very good worker, Gary took him when he went to see Seamus in Ireland. They done a fair bit of digging with the dog.

one of gary mate a lad called gary Allott had a bitch called Tan she was out Gary patsy and J Cowen rock Tan was deep black/tan Gm put her to rock White foot dog and had some deep b/t pups so why he put welsh in them I do know stop going up then had a bitch from this line hard bitch

I know that Garys old Rex lined a few of Ken Gould's bitches but Gary would not have a dog or bitch with Bull in it. A lot of terrier lads did cross Gould/Middleton lines and bred some excellent working terriers but time and people change so Gary might of had black one about him but not when I knew him

That was an error in frains book, seamus's hunting partner alan owned a cracker of a russell, who wore the mask but all the rest was true, that dog worked some foxes, probably the best marker i have seen do not believe everything you read in books

I have had the pleasure of seeing some of the plummer terriers moorman 1 has spoken about and even owned one a bitch a good bitch to fox but unfortunately she sufficated a few season's ago i own and breed lakies and borders but some of the dogs that moorman 1 was talking about were excellent dogs to ground don't put anything down until you see it work

To be honest lads I think this thread has run its course. Who bred what/where/how and when is in the past - we've got to look forward and keep these Borders working. Mark P and Bernie are 2 sound terriermen, the Borders that they have got have been truly tested and I can ashore you that nothing in there kennel does not work. The youngsters they are bringing on will be tried and tested to the limit, if they do not work they will not be bred from. I'm getting older now, as is Bernie, so hopefully Mark will carry on breeding working Borders. I'm not saying that these men are the only men with dec

Raymond could of got a working border outcross but fell out with the men that owned them Jim took over from ray and bred some good workers he had the last of ray borders jim packed in the digging job and give the dog to mates and sold a few
