It is on a free range chicken farm down near leadburn. I know it well its a badgers set in the small quarry where the portocabin is, when you are looking at it go to the right about 50 yards there is a fox den there on the corner, between the two up over the hill ther is another fox den, also one diagonally accross from the badger set at the other end of the quarry, dont think they will be in use at this time though as i h

  18. its all good and well keeping ya dog in the house and i wont even think about relateing a dogs living quarters with the way it works but i have seen it to many times that a dog comes back worse for where and youve got kids crying there eyes out and birds screaming there heads off, my belief is that you should detract emmotional involvement from any animal that is going to be worked that could become injured or worst case senario lose its life!!! now please dont say that i dont have a bond with my dogs as i do but my bird understands the possible out comes and she understands if a pup dont make
  19. Correct i work a russell that's unspanable' Very big and very game but in those smaller earth's sometime's he's head has just been stuck in a chamber were hes trying to push on and has taken a hiding of smaller foxes. if you were to look back 30 years ago before badger digging was made illegal, surely there were no spannable badgers, so they must have needed a bigger stamp of dog, only thinking back in hindsight and all that!! Yes 4 badgers over 36 years ago' But 4 fox the big terrier's just get stuck. YEAH STUCK IN PWAAA no just stuck.
  20. i have a wheaten whippet first cross and i am interested to see how many of this cross are about and there size, how they are performing in the field . thanks in advance
  21. first crosses can be a little heavy boned. and lack that extra yard. temprement wise they can be challenging. sleep on it . and if you dont think its the right dog for you dont take it . or it will just end up back on the for sale section
