  1. Sounds like a cracking afternoon. Pup or not, it sounds like she's coming on nicely for the coming season Thanks for sharing.
  2. You know you've been on here a while when you remember the tales of the infamous Ditchshitter......
  3. Flicking through Youtube as you do and saw a thumbnail clip for tying the Butchers knot for trussing up meat joints. so thought I'd try it out. Can't believe I hadn't tried it in the past, it's so simple! Leg boned out. As the meat hadn't been hung it was still a bit slippery so the twine kept slipping off the end of the joint the first time. I had to tie it up a couple of times near the middle just to hold it together whilst I tied it properly then just cut the original loose twine off. After a few attempts this was the end product. Almost looks proffesional! Was so chu

  8. I'm being given an under and over from my mum's partner. He never really got the time to shoot so hasn't really used it and now wants to get rid of it. Although I haven't seen it, apparently it's a good gun in nearly new condition. Trouble is, it's right handed and I'm left handed. As I'm getting it for free I thought I could spend some money and maybe get this one adjusted/fitted. Any thoughts on if it's worth it or should I just sell it and buy a left handed gun? Any idea's on roughly how much an adjustment/fitting costs? Cheers for any help. Luke
  9. is on your usual youtube channel?
  10. Wouldn't mind a look too please.
  11. Cut and pasted from Wikipedia - Cabaret also refers to a Mediterranean-style brothel—a bar with tables and women who mingle with and entertain the clientele. Traditionally these establishments can also feature some form of stage entertainment, often singers and dancers. You going to be wearing your dress again Rog??? should I bring the camera.....
  12. Best get several bales of Straw ready to split up and throw down in the gateways, 40-50 cars heading through a gate will soon cut some deep ruts. Last thing you need is someone trying to charge you for a cracked bumper from trying to get in/out the field.... It was like it last year at the Crewkerne show. Someone would get stuck in the gate then others would pull up right behind them waiting to go through and then getting stuck themselves!!! screaming the sh*t out the engine wondering why they wern't moving! Good luck with the show, see you tomorrow, sounds like theres going to be
  13. Could get interesting if you tried to milk it...... He certainly is a handsome looking horse, Always seems a shame as they get older and get that big round Herbivore gut.
  14. Even if there wasn't any money involved, people will still try to cheat just to say they were champ racer at XXX Show... If you want to separate the Greyhounds from the Lurchers then just make the buggers run two or maybe even three times in a row, one straight after another. Lurchers are specifically bred for doing this. Greys still wouldn't have their tongues in from the first race.
  15. I'll leave the car door open slightly just in case he's too drunk to work out how a door handle works.....
  16. I'll be camping Saturday night. Probably just sleep in the car though rather than muckin about with a tent....
  17. Done it several times when I was looking after a mates dog for him. Don't have the time or large enough permission to lamp two dogs seperately so used to take them both out together and alternate the runs. I used to tie a dog lead round my waist and clip one dog to that then have the other on the slip. Both were 60-70lb Bullcrosses but couldn't get the leverage to drag me about much whilst one was running. As for the retrieving, a quiet 'oi' and a tug on the lead was enough to stop Tess from trying to snatch but when my mates dog used to try and snatch quarry from Tess I had to slap him on t
  18. Not much meat on it, looks like it'd be a bit chewy.....
  19. The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is a toy breed and not a true Spanial. It was bred as a lap dog that looks like a spanial. They've never been bred or expected to work cover and with eyes that bulge out of it's head and splayed feet I wouldn't want to see one anywhere near brambles/thorn hedging. After that BBC documentory a further study into Cavalier King Charles Spaniels found that 70 per cent of dogs over the age of six years old suffer from a severe neurological condition known as syringomyelia (means the brains too big for the skull and swells out the back and onto the spine).
  20. We used to have terrible trouble with Buzzards taking poults. They used to just sit in the trees in the pen then just drop on the poults as they left cover to feed, eat the best bits then back in the tree to get another. We tried loads of differant things to lessen the impact, setting dead rabbits out for them, feeding the cover not the feed rides, stringing red and white tape through the trees like bunting, hanging cd's from the trees. The farm manager even gave us some scarecrows for the pens!! Within a few days the buzzards were used to it and back again. Shouting and waving would move the
  21. Sorry I couldn't make it, ended up at a 4yr olds birthday party! Will make it next year though!
  22. Give me a ring mate, your mobiles not working and your inbox is full!!!

  23. I'll hopefully be popping along tomorrow, If I can get things sorted early enough in the morning then I'll be there in time for the coursing and give Tess a run about, if not I'll see you all at the ring side. All the best with the show. Luke.
  24. Sorry for delay, THL had been playing up a bit and I couldn't get logged on! You sure that was a return price? if so, what dates did you put in? I could probably justify £150 to the missus! Cheers Luke
  25. Just checked on prices of the ferry and for that weekend it's £336 for a return car ticket to Belfast from Liverpool, or £360 from fishguard to Rosslare. I was hoping to come over for this gamefair but it's just too much money for me. All the best with the show, Luke.
