  6. this purple spray is it like a glue 2 or do you put that on the after glue it. thanks brett im not tacking the piss but your probebly best to get somebody that knows what they are doing to show you how to go on ye mate im not going to do it the dogs in the vets. just asking and lurning 4 next time. This is how i do it. 1. clean wound out with savlon liquid spray or iodene. 2. apply glue on a match stick and dab on the dog to form a butterfly stitch, do not cut away any hair as it will pull or fall out within a week with the glue attached and in this time the
  7. Its primerely for horses. I think its powder based so when applied to a wet wound it kind of soaks up any fluid and seals the wound so it is better to use on body cuts but for face wounds i would use a pepet to apply iodene or use iodene to clean the wound before using purple spray
  8. teramyasin spray? Doesnt say on the bottle. You can buy it from any saddlery suppliers, it comes as an aerosol or a squirty bottle and i find it is cheaper and lasts longer from the squirty bottle. Be careful because it stains everything bright purple including fingernails
  9. staplers are advertised in the back of the cm weekly. id say its best getting glue, some penacilin and purple spray because for a vet to do a cut back and stich it will cost at least £150. the last one i paid for was about £200. How gutted would you be if the dog streched its legs and all the stiches tore open, what i do know is that would be another £200 at the vets. Using glue, penacilin and purple spray a wound should knit together in about 4 days but just remember to leave a bit open so any puss or fluid can exit the wound and that will help stop infection. Purple spray is the bus
  10. at last someone talking some bloody sense!!!! they may slightly be easier on the lamp but not by much.....im sure alot of the expert advice comes form lads that dont ever get out at night..... i do get out at night infact im going out abit later my dad dont course hares yes i would rather see one given fair law and coursed by a dog than a lamped one but if someone wants to lamp hares whats the f*****g problem ? it aint harming no one but the hare Christ going out lamping pregnant hares out of season what a true sportsman. let me guess, u are running a wippet that cant ca
  11. People only lamp hares because they cant catch them in the daytime and anyone that says different is just talking sh#t.
  12. Im a bit gutted to do this but here goes. Black working cocker bitch for sale. £350ono. DOB 03/06/08 sire, Whaupley Reiver dam, Chocolate bitch from Headley Millington blood, bred by a game keeper from south wales. This is original working cocker blood lines. The reason for selling is that i now have a baby on the way and all my shooting and dog work is pest control so if i keep the little thing much longer she will end up with some bad habbits. I now dont have enough time to train her as i am working on a house and trying to make it as good as poss which takes some time.
  13. get down to the dogs level, hold the catch with him for 30 seconds then squeze a paw enough so he lets go. thats one way used for spaniel training
  14. i had a light weight bull wippet and the first time i took her out she pulled down a cow, she was like walking a 243 rifle round on a lead. the fight in the dog was unreal. RIP Bessie
  15. Ive just posted a wanted add for a 3rd gen halfx bull grey so could as many people that know about litters of dogs take a look and pm me. cheers Webby
  16. i dont mean to put a downer on yur dog but if im not mistaken irish wolfhounds only live to about 8 years old because the heart and knee joints are fu##ed. but seen as yours is half grey it shouldnt be to bad
  17. get some pics up of your lurcher and ferrets catching some bunnies and you might get a bit further with the question and answers but if you just use your brains then it aint hard to work out because most of it is common sense
  18. photobucket, but i dont think im doing it right. Ive been cropping then resizing then save but dont know which code to use because when i try to upload it doesnt work so i just copy and paste the code, is this the right way to do it
  19. lol i didnt spot that she had a leg missing, but she does have 4 legs and knows how to use them
  20. and this is what they are going to be working with
  21. Ive just managed to sort out some pics of the pups that ive added to my pack, what do you guys and girls think of them.
  22. Well done DARCY alot of people on this site get abusive far to quickly and for no apparent reason
  23. ive used a car batt charger on the same 17 amp battery for about 3 years and i can go lamping for about 4-5 hours and thats using a blitz 240
  24. 12v 17 amp battery from an alarm shop should be about £40, you should get a small box of mixed 15 amp connectors to wire up to the batt, an old backpack to carry the batt in. just use a normal car battery charger for charging but DONT let it over charge. TOTAL = about £145 with a striker, spend a bit more on the lamp and get the variable
