  1. Its black and white aint it. Im not going to lie about what she is because from her structure most if not all educated terriermen will know that she is not pure russell. The plan though is to put a good strong Russell dog over her and see how the pups turn out. I just need to find a dog to use that ticks all the boxes.
  2. I dont know, she is due a measure and weigh
  3. Ive just had my uncle back over visiting from OZ and from what he said i well believe you.
  4. All i can do is see how she goes, but hopefully not just a pet thats all you can do.. see how it goes im still waiting to hear when your other four dogs are going to go they are always ready to have a do.

  6. Mostly for my missus, Border terriers are really smart. She is 9 weeks old What do you think
  7. Nice pup mate. Nice chunky feet and knuckles and a good width + shape to his head. he's in the right hands to turn in to a good working dog.
  8. From what i understand, without speaking to the terriermen you mention in person i am told by many other terriermen of 15 years+ that they are all bred down from Frank Buck and Cyril Brey lines meaning that they are all related and that only goes back about 90 years and a dog is bred once it is proven at 4 years old then that is only just over 20 generations, so differencec in appearence will occur. The line is bred to stay and that is why people buy in to it because there is a better chance of it working as a pest control dog and being a stayer.
  9. Yeah its a switch and the red bit is about 2" long 12 volt from a car parts shop along with red and black 5amp cable in the tails with 15amp spade connecters. the bayonet fitting on the standard in line fuse case is flimsy and broke so i just left it out. My standard on/off switch broke and i had the switch spare from the land rover so just used that.
  10. some good old pictures on there
  11. Cheers but its got to have a suction cup base as all the outer panels on the land rover defender are aluminium and i also want to take it off when not in use and im not willing to pay £130 for a new lightforce lamp then £ for the staff handle and then another £100 for the double suction cup fitment, that adds up to £310 , i know its better than a remote controlled lamp but driving for ages with your hand out the window at 3am in january on a wet night is not my cup of tea.and before anyone says anything i do most and prefer to lamp on foot
  12. Lakeland guns have Optronic remote control 5,000,000 candle power lamps for sale for £72, has anyone had any experience with these lamps or can someone recamend another make and where to get them from. i need a suction cup type because im pretty sure the defender has an aluminium roof.(it is as i just put a fiidge magnet on it, and nothing) I tried a remote lamp a few years ago but it was too jerky and thought that all the usual field sports retailers like arthur carter and ian hodge would sell a good version, Any help in finding a good one would be good, ATB and
  13. get an old head phone socket and just pull the little black cap on the top ov the box atb chris Ive been wanting to sort that out for a while and didnt know what that rubber cap was for, i probably should have read the instructions again, time to start ratching through the loft and lock up for an old set of ear phones
  14. mine is bang on every time. if say your at 5 foot down already then try the b and f on each side of the dig at the bottom and it will give you the lowest reading, if the reading is still changing when you are on the lowest reading then the dog must be going back and forward in the tube and the only way to check is to try your b and f on a couple of other terriers. if it still does the same thing when used on a dog that locks on to its fox then there might well be a problem with the b and f, i hope this helps amd makes sense to you. atb and happy christmas Webby
  15. 90 td5 on bfg mud terrains and getting about 27mpg, roll on the intercooler, chip and high exit stainless, that lot should give about 32mpg average unless i boot it
  16. If you were in Australia then a couple of lads would think nothing of doing 800 mile in a round trip for some good hunting especially if you are sharing the driving, and i know of a guy that breeds big bullxs and because of the way genes throw they end up racy looking but at the same time when you see them in person they are in preportion. there are too many antis around for dog lads to be trying to fight on the keyboard, it might not be everyones type of dog but instead of slating the guy offer him a night or/and day out and then see if a big racy bullxs is to your liking,
  17. 34 foot straight down in heavy clay with plenty of big rocks, all by meself, had a set of treble extension ladders to carry 1 bucket at a time up to the top.
  18. Is the one to watch this week
  19. Christ mate an expert van is tall enough to have the terrier boxes on top of the lurchers and width wise 2 terrier boxes to one lurcher box and that should leave you with enough space for a single mattress for a different type of bitch
