It was my first day out since last february and boy did i enjoy it.The only concern was the heat,it was scorching at 9 o clock.I decided to go to a few warrens that are on flat open land so Sonic would see what exactly happens when a ferret is shoved down an inhabited warren. We got to the first paddock and netted up a 5 holer, the grass was up to my shins and the ground was rock hard.Geting the pegs in the ground was a hell of an effort. All ready and ferret put in,Kevin placed himself in a spot where he thought he might get a few nice pics.He didnt do bad at all,the photos below are all his doi

Have you done much work with an ingles Bull? the question i was asking earlier was ''HAS ANYONE DONE EARTH WORK WITH AN I/B?'' the ingles bull doesnt have to fight to the death or anything near that, all it has to do is be a draw dog for as long as its required. That would satisfy most terrier men that are also fans of the bull breeds that were used in the country years ago.Dont try to make comparisons between the pit and Ingles, they have nothing but size in common.Until an I/B has been worked as a heavy grafter in the country there will always be a question mark on his willingness to show

right i conceed, but I believe the bull terrier was never meant to be an out and out hunting dog.It was a competetive vermin killing dog if we believe the books, but surely they made the E/B terrier big as to have strength to draw and hold quarry.Am I wrong but wasnt the sport of badger baiting,ie pulling one from a barrell or something just as pathetic written about in an english bull book,if im right and i think I may be,then here we have the fighting side of the origional E/B,a side which you may be omiting in your line of dogs.''I can't see any reason for trying to breed 'game' Bull terri

look lets cut through the bullsh*te,in fairness ALL bull terriers, let it be english, staff or pit were originally formed for combat sport of some form, either dog versus dog or dog versus wild animals but they were meant to bring devestation to what ever they were pitched against. Now man/woman kind(im not sexist/chauvanistic) have moved on a little from those dark days and its frowned upon to even speak of such pastimes,BUT english bulls were never meant to hunt in packs unless under strict supervision and they certainly werent meant to chase rabbits. Its great for the dog no doubt to hunt up an

in the late 's I had 4 at the one time....ALL bar one were put to sleep, the other one(dont get yer hopes up)was sold to a bloke that wanted it,they were all tried and ALL failed miserably. Now I did have a half bred E/BX Staff/Pit and she was something else to work.Hogdog that looks a right agile animal, but to see it do the big task it was bred for would only instill confidence in me on their return as agenuine worker.I also did have half bull/russells for years and most were worth feeding.I did see some good E/B's years ago and they were as good as any, real pity they dissapeared

> George Phillips , an elderly man, from Meridian, MS,was going up to bed, when his wife told him that he'd left the light on in the garden shed, which she could see from the bedroom window. George opened the back door to go turn off the light, but saw that there were people in the shed stealing things. > > He phoned the police, who asked "Is someone in your house?" He said "No," but some people are breaking into my garden shed & stealing from me. > > Then the police dispatcher said "All patrols are busy. You should lock your doors & an officer will be along wh

whats your biggest bag in one night
jigsaw replied to kevin from bristol's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
shame he's a nice looking dog what breeding was he atb he was collie/houndXsaluki/hound,a chap from nottingham bred him.I think Fathom was his grandmother. The breeder was a bloke called robert burton if anyone knew him.The best dog I ever kept,Back then i travelled by coach/ferry and it was a 3 day excursion all to get a pup I fancied.I went to hancocks kennells but was not impressed with what I saw.Looking back I was only 20 yers old then, some journey for a feckin dog, lol. -
whats your biggest bag in one night
jigsaw replied to kevin from bristol's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
The largest bag I ever had back when......was 42 rabbits a hare and a fox.The dog was Cloudy and he worked alone that night. He was a very game dog and you couldnt tire him out.I was sick the night he hit a cow scratching stone in the middle of the field.I didnt keep a lurcher after that for 9 years.Havent had a dog as good as him since. -
Seeing the pound sighns then regretting it!!
jigsaw replied to cooper101's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
THE WIFE .......THATS A DIFFERENT MATTER I wouldnt sell my dogs no matter what.In the recent past Ive had real lean times but to sell a dog never entered my head nor would it,If they dont make it in the game I pts but never sell. -
A typical ignorant reply from someone who has obviously never had a bull terrier, and I expect would never dream of owning one due to their ''UNSTABLE''nature. bull terriers can be agressive towards other dogs and some animals,THEY SHOULD NEVER BE AGRESSIVE TOWARDS A HUMAN''unfortunately the most of the breed is completely FOOKED UP from indiscriminate breeding....THAT IS NOT THE DOGS FAULT.

thank you,very robust boxes.
