me and o/h have mad a different version to nite site shooting bunnies at 100yards with it we are also making a handheld one for spotting
 -
got her today, settled in with my jacks already
 -
on my permission they have only started pairing up now, they have been discussions that vikens were having two litters last year and would agree with that, Icant see pics of the cub
 -
also an interesting fact "fox reds" are actually the original colour of yellows but fell out of fashion for the lighter yellows,
 -
are you will get a mix then, one word some fox reds are the new choc can be a bit stubborn to train and take more to make a good dog so pick you stud wisely
 -
using fox red over your bitch will be only any good if your bitch carries yellow! this is a pic of my mates fox red who im using as stud this year

Gorgoeus I have two adult snapping turtles here, i would love a ali though
 -
but for me the test is that they look like russels and will rat and rabbit..and trust me when I say I have been and seen dogs that wont even do that!, and yes I bred the bitch but I have kept one and the second has gone to a friend that wants it for rats on her farm..IF I breed her again I will also be keeping two more and they will be sold as ratting dogs, I wont try and sell my dogs for something I haven't done, if someone wants a earth dog, get them from parents who do, if you want one for ratting get one from me simples! and as for my comment about quality that was going for there look

I know nothing about working dogs below, but I would say its a confidence thing, shes fine to follow but not to go herself, is they anyway you can get her confidence get some empty tubes and get her to work through them so she learns the dark place is not something to be feared as I said I don't know anything and I'm sure I will be corrected if I am wrong
 -
when you mean running ahead do you mean he is buggering off or is he staying 30ft around you, buggering off back to basics, 30ft just need to work on stop whistle and hand signals to get him working in pattern

FAIR PLAY CLARE IN YOUR COMMENT, BUT I NEVER MENTIONED KILL OR GRAB HOLD OF THERE FOX, I SAID EARTH WORK, YES THE RUSSELL WAS USED TO FLUSH ITS QUARRY FOR THE HOUNDS, IME NOT HAVING A GO BECOUSE YOUR WOMAN I RESEPCT AND ADMIRE YOUR COMMENT BECOUSE, UNLIKE MOST ON THIS SITE YOU SOUND LIKE YOU ENJOY YOUR TERRIER WORK, BE IT RATS RABBITS, I WISH YOU GOOD LOOK IN YOUR CONTROLE OF PESTS, YIS ALLI Thanks I do enjoy my terrier work, Just annoys me that some guys think just because your not putting your dogs to earth that your dogs are rubbish, Thanks just got some permission on a second farm
 -
yes the parson bred them to flush foxes not to grab on and kill and I never said that Jack russles were only bred for ratting I said mine come from a line of ratting dogs I think people on here need to realise that just because you don't let your dog go to earth doesn't mean they are any less of a dog! Its rude to say people are "messing around" because of it ...anyway had enough having to explain myself why I only do ratting/rabbiting with mine mainly so I'm off to have some ciders and enjoy the sunshine
 -
Plenty of quality russells out there but they do real graft not messing for rabbits and rats How close minded of you...so Just because I don't dig that means me and my dogs are less and just "messing around" I think that's terrible... a dog should be judged on how it works on the job its been given not judged because of size of prey btw mine are also used to flush foxes out of bales after harvest suppose that's just messing around to.... next you will be telling I shouldn't be hunting as I'm female! with regards to your terriers not doing the job they were breed for then
 -
This may be of some help :)after you have taught him direction Start training on ground where there is unlikely to be much game and aim to keep the dog moving within a rectangle ten metres in front and ten metres to either side of you. Later you will extend the range a little but it is better to start with a restricted questing limit. Using the command "Hi-seek", wave the dog out in front of you. When he reaches the ten metre limit give two short peeps on the whistle and, having thus attracted his attention, signal him out to the right, again giving the command "Hi-seek". When he re

^^^^^ Cracking dogs!! I have one adult bitch and one pup out of her, bitch is a cracking on rats and rabbits. pup is only 9 weeks and is showing good promise, her sister whos gone to a friend dived under her shed and came out with a nest of baby rats so she looks to be taking after mum
 -
stunning nice to see a Russell that looks like a Russell! I have bred a litter myself and kept a bitch back, been looking for a second bitch and a possible dog, and every litter I have seen have been crap, whats happening with Russells? they just doesnt seem to be any quality dogs out there, yeah I'm not wanting a digging dog, just a bit of ratting, and also there out with me when im out and about, but every litter I have looked at, the adults haven't even looked like russells!
 -
sounds like you need to go back to basics, retrieving has lost its appeal to her, I would give her a break for a few weeks... How often are your training her on feather and fur? as for the mouthing you need to get down low and call her in, don't take it off her straight away let her hold it, praise her then take the bird.a bird is much different taste and feel than a dummy so she wants to play with it and not bring it back Im not a trainer have only trained my labs Im sure someone will be able to offer better expert advice
 -
I think if you haven't got the room to keep a dog for its full life you shouldn't have dogs! I have been horrified reading some of these comments, finished been working dogs so PTS! antis would have a field day! all my dogs stay with me till they pass in there sleep or there starting to suffer and need to be PTS! they have giving you there all so you should give them the retirement they deserve, not just treat them as livestock!
 -
stunning!! I love a nice heavy coloured
 -
My lab sophya is a grand rabbiting dog same as her mother she wil tell me if they is rabbits,
 -
Stunning!! David breeds quality dogs in training and looks
 -
