used to be one on a shoot I was one, great hunter but once it got its nose down it was off, I know someone else who works and breeds them and there a great I think its more what experience you have training and working gundogs I would recommend them as first or second gundog! if your rough shooting you would be better off with a lab or cocker

Long line can get them from any equine store and back to basics, you need to get her recall sorted and whistle recall top notch before letting off the lead lunge line helps as gives them some distance but some control to just be constient and don't let her get away with it, it sounds like you have given her to much slack

I know right I should ... Makes me weary about ever posting again, no wonder they is so many people who join post once and never come back! and yes I weight daily for the first week, its very important to make sure pups are gaining weight its very easy to miss one that is not thriving as much as the others and just think its a small one and before you start I have a degree in animal management, canine behaviour, among others, grew up on a farm and have been working and breeding labradors for other ten years If a MOD could lock this I would be very grateful as this threads going now

I never asked what you thought I just put pics up as I was proud of my girl having her pups and I deff was not putting "feelers" out I think you cant judge terriers by pictures as they can be very deceiving at the end of the day my terriers do what I want and thats kill rats around the farm I have never claimed they are the best dogs around or top terriers

wow I put some pics of my pups on and this is the hassle you get, who says I'm trying to flog them to the highest bidders? how can you tell a dog is crap from the pics, jesus your all so narrow minded just because she isnt covered in scars and go to earth shes crap? shes a RATTING dog as it says in my post and a pet , and as for taking pictures, all my bitches are super relaxed with me handling pups and for the first week I handle daily to weigh to make sure there putting on weight, yes tails are getting snipped as for choosing my bitch if the other looks promising I will keep both, and none a

I couldn't see a bitch growling at people in season even with all them hormones raging, i could accept if it was at bitches as my lab gets grumpy with my other bitches, but if he's only had her three weeks I would ask why the other owner got rid- three weeks is about right for a bitch to find her feet and settle in But I could be wrong wouldn't be first time
-
bugger better tell my 6 gundogs that who all are fed BARF diet For all wee know they could be a bunch of hard mouthed pat-lickers!!..........Did/do you feed the BARF from a young age and just throw them a carcass to munch on? my dogs are deff not hard mouthed if they were i don't think keepers would send one of the underkeepers to pick two pups just on what the parents are like, or that on one shoot my dogs are the only dogs allowed in the line! I feed Barf from weaning, I don't just chuck them carcase they get skinned rabbits, vension, duck, partridge, offal and bones from abb
