My youngest son is kicking about in Canada with his soon to be wife,he phoned me earlier “Dad we saw two moose and a coyote this morning” “You wanker you should have waited for me to get up there”…..”Remember what you always told me dad you snooze you lose”, finally making his own way in the world,he has been to maybe 15 countries already since he was a kid,I think he will go far. -

That’s him mate,he was skinny/lean,he wasn’t like some of them,stood out because he was almost reserved,I didn’t know he was on Joe Rogan,I shall watch that.The Brit show is filmed in sask where Ted Newgent who used to post on the forum now lives.There was another Alone type show years ago,Scottish? Guy dropped in Northern Canada and left alone,had to be rescued as he ended up starving?

I was walking slowly down a trail keeping an eye on both sides a few days ago,a lady came along when she got level with me she said “Hi,are you looking for something?Have you lost something?” I said I haven’t lost anything thank you,just looking for snakes.She laughed “No need to look for them around here,they come and find you”. Lol

Any form of compensation offered?United (abysmal airline)offered Jack even though my flight was delayed/postponed for a few days,I have travelled with third world airlines that gave better (but also far worse) service.

I saw one filmed in Canada a few weeks ago,brutal temperatures,the first one to jack did so after 8 days,Californian guy with perfectly manicured hair and matching beard,he was crying on day 7 as he missed his family.The ones who stuck it out longest were laid-back and knew the game,not eccentrics at all,the winner was a geezer,killed a moose then when a wolverine came for his moose he killed it with an axe (you see it’s guts where he whacked it across the side),temps were down to -40’s but he was snug as a bug in a rug,the lady who I thought would win was in it for the long haul was airlifted

Going anywhere nice?I feel your pain,I flew into Newark in June,when I got there my connection was delayed by 3 or 4 days,the airport was in uproar,large amounts of flights cancelled/delayed due in part they said from smoke from Canuck bushfires,TV crews were interviewing people who had already been in the terminal for a couple of days,people queuing for new tickets,my magic changing room wasn’t working so I went to penn station and caught an Amtrak. @shaaark likened me to phileas Fogg once but I needed to get to my destination a darned sight quicker than eighty days.

Pakistan.Couple of times I have been in Hounslow high street and seen groups of special needs kids with carers,I can’t remember the statistics but but the numbers of inbred kids in that area were slanted heavily towards inbred first-cousin relationships,the odd thing is you walk through Rawalpindi or Lahore and you don’t see them,maybe special needs kids are kept at home or whatever,but I can’t remember seeing any.

It’s normally quantity over quality here,small town eateries do substance over style,unless Korean or Japanese places in which case their presentation is on point.

Saw 8 separate snakes today,got to be the hundreds of frogs sitting on the trails that attract them.
