agreed with above, Whitehead's books are different to most others ive read. and hes a sound fella if ya see him at the Gamefairs.
brian plummer did some ferreting books but ive only read his lurcher books, so cant say how good they are . james Mc Kay and david bezzant did some and they were a decent read also.
id go for an astra van, they arnt to bad on insurance, great on fuel, and u get loads of stuff in the back of them. just becareful which engine u want the dti.
its deffinatly worth making your own, the spun poly is great for pursenets, id say get your self a needle, roll of cord, some rings and get cracking. you will soon get the hang of it.

Hi all,
i bought one of these collars at last years midland gamefair, at the end of last season i took the leather from the transmitter but it now seems the leather has swollen up and wont go through the little slots.
has anyone else had this problem? how can i stop this happening ? has anyone else replaced the leather with the webbing style of the MK2 & MK3 Collars.
thanks

aye we eat most of the rabbits caught while ferreting with the left overs going to mates or to feed the animals.
get your self a mincer for the rabbit, and u can have rabbit bolgneise, rabbit (shepherds pie), bunny burgers, etc
