Hi Alan, I know all about the NRCOC, it pops up relatively often on here And to answer your question, NOPE I didn't nor was I ever challenged at any of the stations or on the train by any of the Rail Companies Staff or indeed the BTP on Leeds, Doncaster or Hull Stations (all three of them have large numbers of officers on both the platforms or concourse's, well apart from Hull, they only have a few officers). The thing is with the NRCOC, it is Conditions of carriage and not (as far as I am aware, but as always I am open to correction) Law. I have also travelled by local Bus companies (

Ste; thats a Serious Understatement Laura kicked my butt today in the little comp we had I'd REALLY like to put it down to beginners luck; but the fact is; after she slaughtered many shooters scores at the meet last year no one could say it was beginners luck I can only put it down to Natural Talent and Skill wish I had that kind of skill when I'd 1st started shooting I will really have to get some serious practice in now to grips with my new Ultra when I get back to the UK as I will be using it at the next meet. Thanks guy's, yep having a blast if you'll excuse the pun Hey bud, Yep, standing shots (especially at long range) are indeed much, much harder. I know that as do most; However I've no doubt that Si could pull it off especially with this particular rifle. My longest standing kill was with my AA S200 at 66 yards not meters Not an ideal shot, but it was a swift clean kill (Conditions were perfect and I thought I had the POA correct for the brain, but the pellet hit the spinal column in the neck which is why I don't often take them standing at long range). Well guy's and doll's you gotta hand it to Laura; just a little tuition regarding trajectory and holdover/under and the girl has got a natural talent for being able to keep the rifle still during the entire firing cycle and follow through I would have been sceptical if I hadn't set up the ranges with both tape measure and LASER and then personally witnessed Laura take the shot What Si failed to mention in his post is that after that shot, Laura, Si and myself had a little 7 target shoot with bottletops of varying sizes placed at random intervals out to GET THIS (I put the LRF on the

Many thanks to you all Having a truely amazing time, should be going to Belsen CC today, which I am looking forward to greatly but also it scares the crap out of me thinking about the number of my reletives that were put to death there Si has told me that its quite a harrowing tour, but I am still looking forward to it. Will be doing some video footage of the place. Catch you later and Have a Happy New Year to you all Phantom

Hey Guy's and Doll's Just a quicky to let you know that I drew first blood in Germany earlier this evening while out with Si I won't say what the quarry was or the gun used as that is for another post another time My host and hostess have been treating me like a member of their own family Today I helped a little bit with the development of Si's next DVD and its looking brilliant to say the least No one will be dissapointed with the finished DVD, we will be doing a little more filming for it tomorrow Right I'm off to bed, catch you later. My two cent's worth! When takinging a lung shot, very often you will destroy both the heart and both lungs I will now only take heart/lung shots on kits as they tend to brop quicker than a headshot, believe it or not! Brain shots are fine on adults down to half grown ut 9 times out of 10 a brain shot kit will be flapping around on the deck refusing to stop (even though it's brain dead) Not only will a heart/lung shot work well, the chest will aslo (especially if the ribs or other bones are hit) absorb more of the kinetic energy of the pellet and this will produce as much "Nervous syste

Hope you all had a great time over the Xmas Holiday period. And a very special, heartfelt THANK YOU To both Simon (Zini) and Laura for turning my xmas around and making it totally the opposite of what it was :notworthy: I am now awaiting their arrival (once they've had some breakfast) and am looking forward to my journey with them to their home in Germany. All the best to everyone else Have a fantastic New Year Tony

Funnily enough, I was in the supermarket yesterday and I saw Jackie (a local officer), she mentioned that she had not seen me walking around with my gun for a while, I said in reply, "No I've not seen you for a while either" Phantom

Hi SS, It IS PERFECTLY LEGAL, if you are over the age of 18 to carry your rifle in a slip and it is uncocked and unloaded. As long as you have LAWFULL EXCUSE OR REASON ie, going to a range, walking to the gunshop for repair etc, or walking to your permission. Those officers are not up to their job if they dont know the law. I have travelled with my guns on busses, trains and on foot, I walk past the local police station every time I go shooting and I often say hello to them when I'm carrying my rifles. Only one officer gave me a funny look, but he didn't say anything. So you

Hey Si, Yeah that would be good, we can use the cemy or the paddock for a bit of paper work Thought my eldest daughter was gonna be here boxing day for dinner, but she's not gonna make it due to the lack of public transport and the distance Right, gotta nip to the petshop to get enough ferret food to cover the time I'm away. Just hope Jnr remembers to feed the little monsters for me Take care Tony

Looking very sweet Si After listening to you on the phone yesterday/day before (sorry no sleep last night so cant remember when it was we spoke ) I know that you are chuffed to bits with it all and I know you are eager to get out in the field with her now. See you both day after tomorrow buddy Phantom

I should hope it is for the 3 times as much as BASA price tag ! Best way to look at something such as insurance; is to match it with what you need or what you think you will need So personally I would not pay £60-£70 for Public Liability Cover when I can get that cover for less than £20. I'm not interested in badges, newsletters or legal advice that I don't need. I get what I pay for and thats basic no-frills PL Cover to the tune of £5,000,000 (used to be £2,000,000 Cant complain at that can I? Phantom

I've had Scope, Bipod, Lamps, Chargers, Batteries, Filters and LRF; all from Hong Kong. Quality stuff Scope and LRF were "International Signature Required" and the sellers both gave tracking numbers and I followed the goods all the way to York The LRF was held up in customs for two days though and I thought they would hammer me for import duty, but they didn't Not had a single problem with any of them, the scope is a Leupold second and is fantastic, the lamp is as good if not better than the ones costing three to four times as much, the LRF is spot on and (although not needed for airgu

I use BASA (through the airgun mags) for about £18.00 a year (Direct Debit price). Never claimed and hopefully will never need to Insurance is extremely useful in obataining permission though Phantom

Hey Steve, When in the sweet spot, there will be little (negligable) change in POI but there will always be some, this is exaserbated by the shooter hence we rarely get one hole groups measuring 5.52 mm edge to edge. Above and below the sweet spot there will be some, often large degree's of POI You can learn to compensate for shooting below the sweet spot (as I found out to my cost last July) Yes that old chestnut again! Tony
