I am tempted to purchase a RED LED unit for it, but until I do I use these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Solar
  4. Again, nice presentation Easy to understand by me (so a doddle for others to follow). I've only shot at rats with the scopecam, rifle mounted on a tripod because as you say Si, its bloody hard work Hope to get some more practice in next year with a camera rigged tot he scope. Phantom

  9. what is the ukniel silencer? how easy is the aa mod? is there a video or pics on how to do it? The UKNiel Silencer was a custom made one for my springer, consisted of multiple baffles and chambers, the baffles each had a number of smaller holes in them. This enabled the air to be bounced around inside the chambers instead of just blowing out of the front. Bouncing it around causes the air to slow down and thus reducing the noise of the escaping air. The AA Mod is simple to do IF you can get the end of the silencer off (cone end) as its held on with a very fine thread and lots and lo
  10. Before I did the old hair curlers and scotch brite pad mod on my AA silencer, I thought it was quiet enough Then I and RiffRaff compared it to the custom (UKNiel) silencer to the standard AA job. The UKNiel silencer was noticably quieter so I fitted that to my AA S200 Then we did the haircurler and scouring pad Mod to the AA silencer and it greatly reduced the noise from the silencer and I put it back onto the S200 Phantom
  11. Not so you'd notice at nominal ranges

  14. Superb shooting Si Nowt new there then See you in a fortnight buddy :notworthy: Phantom
  15. Looking back at that thread Jasper, it was a time when I would only take headshots simply because I didn't have the knowladge of anatomy that I have now. Back then I thought that headshots were the ONLY way to ensure a clean kill. I now know different as I have been taught by some of the very best shooters on here the differing KZ's on different quarry. With my aquired knowladge I am now more than ever able to take on quarry and kill it instantly (or as fast as possible) that I would never have considdered as a shot. So due to being educated well my personal opinions have changed P
  16. You need to know the volume that the cylinder holds to get a correct estimation. CGP has a little utility that tells you how many fills you can get, but it requires accurate data to be useful Phantom
  17. How much does the air cylinder hold and what pressure ? That will determine how many fills you get Phantom
  18. Hey Alan, Perhaps you could put up some pix for us (I do love a little 'whats this?' thread) Preferably good clear ones, close ups of action and stock and then we should be able to help you Identify the gun As far as I am aware the Vulcans are springers Phantom
  19. I could have done to have put some air in my bloody gun :wallbash:
  20. No worries You hadn't gotten my back up Sometimes people do and I let them know about it BIG time But like I say, there are pro's and con's about the way we each shoot our quarry for example: I prefere to decimate the part of the brain called the Cerabellum. Leads to an instant switch off. But the alleged 'Perfect' shot placement is halfway between the eye and the ears? That shot certainly kills 99% of the time but it lets the Cerabellum continue to function! The Cerabellum is responsible for keeping the animal's basic life support systems alive and the animal may actually still be
  21. Sure am Andy, its too long a way for a daytrip costing £60+ Same little tent as well but this time I wont need to dismantle the gun hopefully as I may (in all likelyhood be using an Ultra) Phantom
