  1. I was with BASA for a couple of years managed to get 3 months extra for free because they failed to send me any documents and it cost me a few perms! Eventually they sent me the documents after numerous emails and phone calls! Then they offered me a discount if I set up a direct debit, cool I thought, they took the brass but I spent another year without documents So I deliberately did not pay this year! Guess what? I got all the documents as well as free entry to AGW/AG comps (not that I buy them any more like) a photo ID everything for this year, and as for paying it, not a chance I'm
  2. Nice lil bag there Sir That pup looks sooo adorable, forget elephant man, send her here I could do with a new pulling aid. I'll take her to the offy with me next time the cute blonde with the elegant smile is working Tony
  3. Oh you are generoug Gary, I'll keep an eye out for the postie Excellent work buddy Tony
  4. Hi Peter, In short to answer your question, yes it could well be. As scopes are mass produced, they may not always be spot on. My Hawke HD scope is not spot on, but my Leupold MK4 is (But thats a sidewheel parallax and manufactured to exceptional standards). What I would suggest you do is cut out little lables using either meters or yards from say 10 out to 50. Then either using a tape measure or LRF place targets at each distance you have made a lable for. Then at say 10x mag, focus in the nearest target. When its in focus, pop the 10yard/mtr lable on the top of the scope ring. Repeat the
  5. And it's the depth of field that allows you to range find at a high magnification. If your target is x yards away, simply turn the paralax adjustment until the target is in clear focus, then read off the yards on the indicator and thats howfar away your target is. The higher the mag,the more precise the focus, the more accurate the yardage Tony
  6. Hi Pointer, I said there are various species of RODENTS that are often called giant rats. The Coypu is one such species and a few of these have been caught in some of Englands Cities. this story from the DM shows an image of once of them being held by a scientist aspart of either a news cast or a documentary for the BBC. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1304645/Giant-rats-caught-Lincoln-factory--monsters-there.html I believe that Coypu have either escaped or have been released in the UK and just like the rest of the news the media loves to sensationalise the stories. Tony
  7. HI peter, AO means Adjustable Objective. The Objective is the front lens on the scope. There will be a grip with a dial and range markings on the front end. Simply turn it to the required distance I have mine set at 35 yards, but I alter it to the distance that I am shooting at(if there is time) Tony
  8. Superb, absolutly superb. Once you get used to the more awkward filming position you'll be lining up the crosshairs almost as fast as you do when you your using the scope No stopping you now buddy Tony
  9. Excellent work Daz. A1 shooting and A1 footage. Off to look at yournext one now Tony
  10. We've been through this particular statement before, they are most deffinately NOT the same pellets! Although they are manufactured by the same company (as indeed a hell of a lot of pellets are these days) I used to use AAF's as they gave me superb results, then I went into my local RFD, who had none left, but told me the FX were the same and a quid cheaper. I looked at the weight that was the same and at first glance they appeared to be the same shape. There was a very noticable POI change when I began using them so I set them up side by side and photographed them I found that there are ver
  11. Nice one Mike. I remember my 1st images in print and my 1st article. Great sense of achievement aint it Tony
  12. Very nicely done Daz Once you get used to it, you'll have it in the field dropping em nicely on video Very clear footage for a 1st attempt, very impressed What scope were you using bud? Tony
  13. They are becomming more and more common in this country There are various species of rodents that are called 'Giant Rats' Have a read here (bit sensationalised but the comments below the article from the experts make more sense) http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3102460/Invasion-of-the-giant-rats-in-Bradford.html Tony
  14. Thank you Jasper, Stealthy, darn right I did got two meals outta that plateful Was planning ona whole night in the Cemetery this weekend, but wound up at the exwife's place moving furnature and laying carpets for her. Doing the last carpet tomorrow, so taking my baby and dpm with me and hopefully I'll get a night out tomorrow Tony
  15. Ohhhh I am naughty, I've just offered a trade for it!
  16. I'll give you a couple of mass produced snares for it? Tony If your nice, I may evenchuck in a purse net
  17. Who in their right minds would swap an I phone fora perfectly respectable piece of hunting kit?
  18. I don't know how much he charges nowaday's, it was a special favour for me. Have a gander about BBS and send him a PM. He's pretty quick on turn arounds too Tony
  19. That depends on the gun IMHO, the Twink mkIIis an exceptional pieceofwork on many gun's, but I have heard that some people find it's not so good on others. I have an AAS200 that originally had a bog standard AA mod on it. Now it has a custom UKNiel silencer on it (designed for my long barreled Springer) I've added diffuser material into the tube and baffles and it's made a great improvement, now I hear tink as the pin strikes and crack as the pellet hits bone. If I stand down range of it I jyst hear a PHUZZZZZZ as the pellet passes me. The Hogan Decimeater is supposed to be a very good one
  20. Awsome footage as allways buddy I'm going to put some tape around my Leupold MK4 so that I can use Si's original Scope mount and try some over the next few days. Daz, it's a darn sight harder to shoot accurately through a LCD screen than it is using the scope/eye so a good few rounds on paper first buddy just to get used to it, then same again a night at differing rages. Once you've got that down pat, your well on your way to producing the kind of footage the rest of the experianced guy's show us Tony
  21. Nicely swatted Squizzer Tony
  22. I got a message from Gary saying he got both barrels when he got in from work Hey Gary, really want to tease her? Just remind her that Google caches EVERYTHING on the net and even though she's deleted it, she's only deleted it from that server Oh yes IT'S STILL OUT THERE SHANNON! Tony
