  2. Aaron, use it or loose the true Marksmanship Skills that it gave you. Stay in touch with recoil and never loose that ability. If your S400 ever develops a fault and is unusable for a few weeks, the last thing you want is to spend time re-mastering the recoil!! Even if its only for plinking once a week, it will keep your skills honed. Phantom
  3. Hey Sean congrats on the cemy, bet its at least 100% larger than mine I told the guy from the Church I have some snares, we both agreed that they are not to be used though. I am thinking about making some form of trap that I can leave overnight, but not sure how to go about it. I have a book somewhare (Modern Vermin Control) think there are some plans or diagrams in it. I dont have the cash to buy any traps. I understand that they have to be checked at least once every 24 hours, but realistically I would be doing it at least every 12 hours. What sort of trap do you use? Phantom
  4. Cheers guy's Aaron, My remit aint for woodies but lets face it my permission slip DOES say PEST & VERMIN But seriously, I dont want to risk losing it (its on a trial 3 months) If I can knobble 2 bunnies a day then thats the future populus down by a possible 1,000,000 bunnies in a years time for each mating pair I've just come back from a boring Business seminar that lasted three hours so I'm not even gonna think of the math for 3 months!! 5. I had planned on going down the graveyard this morning at first light My alarm went off at 05:30 and I thought, hit the snooze and have another five mins then get up. FIVE HOURS later I wake up with the sun shining, I'd hit the off instead of the snooze So I thought bugger it I'll go up there this evening and see if I can bop some bunnies. I arrived at the cemy at 17:00 ish. Had some very funny looks of a couple in the house across the road (I was in full DPM with a DPM gun slip!). I put up my sign on the gate warning people that I was there (should also help if the boys in the
  6. Very sweet lookin baby that one Phantom
  7. Well done festa, that'l teach it Everytime I go down the cemy or even up to Riffs shoot, the Woodies take the piss. They allways sit just out of range. The ones in the cemy seem to be very predictable though sadly my remit is bunny bashing not woodie whoopin'. Phantom
  8. This graveyard aint big enough to get lost in, but its certainly earie (sp?) The light from the torch reflects off the brighter polished stones and it looks sort of like a door opening inviting you into some of them A friend of mine back in the 's was homeless for a while, he slept in a graveyard as he said "Its the safest place to sleep" because no one went in them at night. Makes sense I suppose Phantom
  9. Awsome read bud; and a good bag Phantom
  10. Heck yeah, there's loads, It backs onto my verbal permission and thats heaving with em. Hoping to catch the guy who owns the horses soom and turn it into another written permission. Phantom
  11. As many of you know I was recently asked by the Church Parish Council to help out with the rabbit pest problem at a local Cemetary. I've been up twice there twice now. My 1st night on site, I took 3 young ones, (my phone didn't have enough charge in it to get a pic!). They were all very small. When I walked in and fastened my sign to the gate there were about 30ish at the far end. By the time I had tuned around the numbers were down to about 6! I laid my slip on the bench in the secluded section and began my approach into the old part, where I had seen them all. I followed the hed
  12. WoooHoooooo Thats it; its mine my first WRITTEN permission. The great thing is, the lotties next door to the permission are part of the land The guy is already talking about me doing the GC as well I'm going up there in an hour or so to sit and wait and see what comes out to catch the pellets. Wish me luck on my first "Graveyard Shift" Right off to go get the form laminated and then gear up. Phantom
  13. Excellent service indeed. Phantom
  14. Indeed. I spoke to the guy this morning via telephone, I'm meeting him this evening at 17:00 to show him what my plan is and how I'm going to tackle it. He will then sign the permission forms and I can get cracking Aparently they used to have a fella go up there many years ago with ferrets. Apparently he could take 40 a night!!! I cant see me doing that much in a week with an airgun, but I'll give it my best. Phantom
  15. I thought so too. When does it start? I can't see any reason not to drop them with an air rifle. Phantom
  16. Nice shooting as always Andy Phantom
  17. Sweet shooting there gents Phantom
  18. Look at that, couldn't hit a barn door if he was sat on the latch Seriously, good shooting buddy I like to see someone taking the time to do a good pellet test. Phantom
  19. I dropped it in some caustic soda, that seems to have had the desired effect of removing the meat etc, skull is pretty clean and white. Although I have lost a tooth since I put it in the shed to dry. I intend on reassembling it all tomorrow and then put up a pix or two Phantom
  20. I noticed that the brain looked quite neat and whitish with a bit of pink. I reckon next time I carry out the boiling process I may actually preserve the brain and maybe put it in a block of resin. I dont know if this would work, but it may be worth a try?? Failing that anyone know where I can lay my mits on a bottle of Formaldahyde? The problem with trying to preserve a brain of a bunny is my usual impact point tends to destroy the skull and mince the brain. If I could be sure of pulling off that shot again or a heart/lung shot then I would have a go, but for now, I'll be sticking wi

  22. Aye, its the same as rifles, except the pistol must not go over 6ft/lbs Phantom
