  3. Do they still wear titty hats? Aint seen one of them for ages! Phantom
  4. If it says "Rentokil" I would be VERY weary. I could be corrected, but I don't think that Rentokill would allow their rifle's into the public domain. http://www.rentokil.co.uk/ May be advisable to give them a call and make sure its legit or you could wind up in serious bother. Daystates don't come cheap. Who know's you may be in line for a finders fee or reward Phantom
  5. The squizzers think they are so fecking hard don't they? I can just imagine him glaring at you with one of those little speach bubbles like in a comic saying "Come on then, give me all you got, if yah think yah good enough Then phut, slap, clunk, thud:clapper: that'll teach the lil fecker Phantom
  6. So all you lucky people who went to Newark show last weekend, What did you purchase if anything? Phantom
  7. Yeah silencers are very easy to fit. Phantom
  8. My reply???? See the "At last" thread Phantom
  9. Is this another thread I'm gonna have to point the mods in the direction of? Come on people! A laugh and a giggle yeah, but why oh why resort to the name calling and gutter crawling? PLAY NICE Phantom
  10. Can't argue with that. I have both .22 and .177 But because my .177 aint up to the job (only a low powered rifle for juniors) I use my .22's In fact at the moment, I can only think of one major advantage that a .177 has over a .22! and thats the pellets cost a quid or two less than the .22's Phantom
  11. Trying not to get uptight here b....u....t..... NOT ANOTHER ONE Jeezz, this is the AIR RIFLE section Buddy We use our SKILL with a SINGLE piece of lead measuring 4.5 or 5.5mm in Diametre to dispatch Woodies Its fairly common knowledge that woodie's see in UV and that marking branches or even better still Deek's works well. I personally don't think that chucking a handfull of lead balls with a radius of 6 to 24 inches at a bird takes a lot of skill however sneaking up to within 30 yards and placing one of our pellets (with a comparatively slow velocity compared to a shot
  12. So you got the Lamp then Niel Was it the Clusion that you were talking about? Couldn't text back no credit (skint again) Phantom
  13. Nice going Jasper Never thought about shooting em under the chin Shot a bunny right in between the eyes recently Another one I was aiming between his eyes when he opened his mush! Pellet went in the back of his throat and severed his spinal column. Thinking about it, a face on bunny with its head up would be an ideal candidate for a shot like yours if they refuse to turn their heads to the side. Must give it a go sometime, they often come out of the warren and stare over to where I am laid up. Phantom Ummm.... Not by the hare on my chinny chin chin (TAXI)
  14. Nice going Jack I'm still awaiting my 1st woody, cant get near em due to lack of cover. The only trees they land in near my permissions is in the old ladies garden next to the cemy Once there is a bit of cover, I'll try to deek some into the paddock. That shot looks like it got it in the lower neck/spinal column Quite probably dead before it left the branch flapping on its way down will be due to nervous system shutting down, much like a bunny jumps or kicks when you decimate its brain Phantom
  15. :icon_eek: He don't look the type :icon_eek: :tongue2: :11: Phantom
  16. I will second that, I have 3 rifles. My XS19 is capable of a well placed shot at 35 yards with ease taking care of many a bunny at that range Mine is a .22 and I love it Phantom Ps I wouldn't reccomend a bipod on a springer, but they can be used with a good deal of practice
  17. They are fine in buildings, but for field work I found it extremely disapointing I even went as far as modifying mine with a pressure switch before I took it out in the field. It came highly recomended. Now I use the Ultra Fire Cree Awsome for 30 yards in a green field mine is 300 lumens and in warm weather the rechargeable batts run for hour after hour although the batts dont like cold weather that much Phantom
  18. Not suitable for that kind of range buddy. The ratty is meant for relatively close range work. There ar other rifles that are as cheap and certainly more up to the job, but 60yards is out of the range of a sub12 You would be heading down the FAC rout for that range Phantom
  19. I do indeed Bill Lots of pro's and cons here. If your looking at despatiching vermin from POINT BLANK (as in Trapped); then the more powerfull the better and I would say go for a .22 The HW45 is an excellent choice (silver star is a little on the steep side as its a comemorative one I believe). The 45 is a hell of a pistol to get to grips with for target and plinking when used at full power (its a dual power pistol) As Aaron points out the Alecto is great pistol that has 3 power settings and is fantastic for plinking and even informal target shooting such as the ones held by us at
  20. Enjoy All Wish I could have gone Still got my beer (much to the wifes disaproval, but hey what the ell eh Phantom
  21. I know that feeling RiffRaff should be going Phantom
  22. Typical I was going to offer to do the cemy this year as well as the bunnies. Thanks Gary Phantom
