  1. I remember back in the mid 's I had an ASI Rangemaster that used to like Marksman pellets in .22 Did good paperwork at about 25 yards with that, then one day got a tin of Milbro cals as they were cheap and I didn't know any better at the time (bit more pricy than the Marksman though). My neighbour was well pissed off when they were tapping on her door instead of my target I could never get a group with them back then but still went through two tins trying. My mother was also pretty peeved with me when I hit the kitchen window with them Since I came back into shooting after yea

  3. Thank you gentlemen, As I say its only a small thought at the moment; something for next year if all the enquiries I'm making and the new contacts I am making prove positive
  4. Sorry Dom, Link not working Take it you mean the flying Warthog? They are serious point and shoot pieces of kit. I remember a pilot describing flying them saying when the trigger was pulled it felt like he had flown into a concrete block and only the thrust of the two engines kept it from dropping out the air between rounds Phantom
  5. 88grain steel bb's something like 1200 to 1500 rounds per min Certainly bruise the odd bunny eh?
  6. The paste part of the copy and paste didn't work Ive put it in now oh crud, yes it did, I pasted it into a word document, thank goodness I didn't send that last night Phantom
  7. Could use one of these AirGuns at the ratting permission of Dillans Sorry coudn't resist, it was a link put up on the forum I run. If you used one of these and didnt wipe out a hundred bunnies in one press of the trigger, you'd be a seriously crud shot :11: Phantom
  8. Only rifle I miss is my Crosman PowerMaster 66! Multi-Pump! Other than that, the only guns I miss are my Colt Python .357 (thanks to that tw@t in Dunblane) a Walther PPK and much more recently (well about two years back) I had to sell my Wather CP99 Umarex Co2 powered pistol. Phantom
  9. Come on Cuz, We allz wanna see dem der weeezults from dat der finely fettled bunny basher Phantom
  10. Your paying for the name. Mozzies used to be very good years and years ago I use Mozzies in my HW40PCA in .177 and they are pretty good in that. But I have spoken to people who have the newer versions of the mozzies and they are less than ideal! However, the guy's that almost ran Webley (a prestigious British company) into the ground by thinking that they could sell substandard goods under the name of a High Standard and Very Well Respected name have been sacked I don't know how long it will take for dealers to get shut of old stock, but Webley are deffinately on the way up b
  11. We are right at the end of the M62. Nearst other cities are Leeds, York and Doncaster. Each over an hour away. Hull is renowned for being expensive as it has a "Captive Market". I'm thinking of next year putting in for a RFD License; however a friend of mine has one and the biggest problem he has encountered, is getting accounts with manufacturers and importer; although if things go well for me I may have a bit of a heads up on that; to which I'll say absolutely no-more on the subject as Its a lead of the highest Value to me and a friend of mine Its nothing major, but from Small
  12. :11: I'm still trying to get my head around it Si! I'll never be able to thank the pair of you enough Phantom
  13. Although I would like the new version of the S-16, (Edgar Brothers XVI) I've heard far too many bad things about the 16's But on the other hand I have heard a lot of good things about them from the people who have taken the time to work and fettle them. For accuracy though, it has to be the AA S200 For laying up with, walking around or sitting against a tree, it makes no difference to me. Deady! Phantom
  14. Funnything about that Fry I didn't have a single thing on my xmas list at all However I am reliably informed that Santa will be delivering a BSA Ultra in .22 complete with scope, bag, silencer :notworthy: Phantom
  15. At a guess I would say that your trigger needs to be adjusted. I had the same trouble when I tried to lighten the pull of my trigger when my fingers were really bad As soon as I pushed the bolt forward it went bang! Talk about hair trigger more like scare trigger Had a pistol like that also, under lever cocking as soon as the clip engaged the lever! Luckily it was a side loader so I never actually shot myself in the foot with it Phantom
  16. Welcome Jack Question for you before you decide. Are you big and stong? They don't call these things Heavy Weight 100 KiloTons for nothing you know Phantom
  17. Hi Alastair, Welcome to the forum Just remember, that you are the owner of the gun you can't give it to him as a gift these days like we could before stupid laws! Phantom
  18. Finally I get the time to read this thread. Very nice work youn Owen Loved the read Take care Phantom
  19. Hi Owen, I've not owned a gun that does not like AAF's and all the ones I have perform well with FX pellets as well. Much depends on the rifle though. Each Barrel has its own unique (how would I say this???? Ah) "Finger Print" for want of a better description. A slight variation in the barrel can have different effects to the barrel that was created before and after it. Phantom
  20. Nice write up Andy I'm hoping with the little rest my permissions have had there may be some when I go out next. Not seen much for weeks now. Going out after midnight tonight and if the mist and fog stays clear will be out for a while Phantom
  21. I believe the model 70 series is a Diana/Milbro, but as always, am open to correction. Price wise, one went not so long back in fairly good condition for about £35 Phantom
  22. Good Idea Sean, We thought of doing similar with Co2 capsules at the UBC. The thing that stopped us was the posting them out to the members other's that pushed the price back up. Unless we could get "Serious Quantities" and orders paid up-front, the added postage to individual members would still be fairly high. Or there are some good deals at http://www.solware.c...d-pellets.shtml I can get a discount there too Damn that just reminded me, I have some work to do and get that site linked to one of mine Phantom
  23. Simon, I wish we could get them at that price round here Think Last tin I purchased from town were around £12.99 or £13.99 and the FX's are usually a quid cheaper. The price of scrap lead has dropped dramatically last year or so now, but it will take another year or two before it gets reflected into the wholesale pellet market. Even then though, I don't see the retailers dropping their prices.. JSR are selling the AAF's in .22 at £12.39 and £8.49 for .177 I think if you buy 10 tins of same batch he offers a 10% discount and when I have gotten pellets from him in the past
  24. at least she is til christmas eh tony... cheers, wurz We've already spoken about that, she's agreed to a polygamous relationship :11: Phantom
