  1. Now I like me cider (strongbow mainly) but why the hell do you have to water magners and bulmers down with ice? Beats the hell out of me why you don't just fridge it first or is it a gimmick so the young ones don't get pissed so quick?
  2. The felt wads just shoot them through till they appear clean, you can use them three or for times if you can find the buggers and get them back in, its obvious they do clean as you can see the grime on them, soak the last one in oil to re lube the barrel, is a very long time since I used them but seemed to be OK at the time, I now use a pull through after about every thousand pellets.
  3. Hmmm will Frank Gallagher be there?
  4. Frontline works for us for fleas and ticks, can get it cheap enough online.
  5. Sorry to hear about that, is always upsetting to lose a friend. R.I.P Butch.
  6. Brandy is my tickle, a pint of cider (strongbow) other wise. In my youth I was definatley a tetley man as long as it was on auto/vac
  7. I will probably get into trouble for bumping this but maybe it should be pinned somewhere as I have seen the topic come up plenty of times
  8. Thanks everyone for all your kind comments. Orkney is really a great place and we have promised ourselves to go back in five years time. There is so much going on there you would be pushed at seeing it all in a week. The neolithic tombs, monuments etc are a joy to visit and the local people are so friendly, it really is a great place to visit. There is so much archaeology going on there at the moment, you can see and keep updated Here Thanks again folks for your interest
  9. Well the weather brought the dreaded highland midge out here, so I just thought i would post a link of a product that actually works in the fight against the pesky buggers. Here it is. Even the royal marines use the stuff, read more here.

  13. Good pics, I remember collecting and keeping newts as a kid, first time I have ever seen them as babies
  14. Don't have gas here, rayburn does the heating, hot water and cooking and we burn peat which is free, so the gas companies can bugger off as far as I'm concerned. I do agree though what the hell are pensioners supposed to do huh, they are the ones that will find it the hardest!
  15. Some belters amongst that lot, i like sunset and scenery pictures mostly. Here's my favourite one at the moment that the wife took last week

    fox meat

I would if it was a young un, I wouldn't if it was a ragged ole beast. I'd eat any meat, the wife says I am not that fussy
  17. I agree with sugar but maybe some ole engine oil too, would make it smoke like a bugger, petrol would probably blow the head off. Sugar will knacker the injectors and probably the pump. Good luck
  18. That funnily enough was the main reason we went to Orkney, there is a Twatt on Shetland too but a tad far away
  19. I just thought I would share a few photos of our recent holiday to Orkney. Some times the pictures have trouble loading for some reason, if you can’t see the pictures try hitting F5 to refresh the page. Firstly the accommodation was a bit basic. The wife banished us to the dungeon. We then found the local church, I bet there are some characters attend this one. I got a good picture of the wife, quite fitting I thought The kids got to grips with a few locals. I think it was a bit too much for the little ones. The dogs watched
  20. Its not the season to shoot them yet http://www.basc.org.uk/content/shootingseasons

    BNP

My brother is the BNP candidate for Bradford west, he has only just lost the seat by only a few votes in the last couple of years. Also it is illegal to condemn anyone because of their political opinions, that is just as racist as being racist ain't it?
  22. If you even thought you have the confidence or experience to strip and fit one, you could modify one !!
  23. We have a Rayburn so like wise. Its lit all year round for cooking and hotwater too so never short of a brew. We use peat too so its free fuel for us, nice and cozy all year round for free
